    ya...supposedly. Which is why i'm gonna wait. My QX6700 clocks higher than the ES Penryn I have so there's no need for me to upgrade in Nov.

    This is what i've spent in the last 2 week:

    Asus P5E3 $369
    4GB GSkill DDR3 $1K
    2x ATI 2900XT 1GB $1K
    Thermaltake 1200W PSU $340

    Total $2709

    My bank account is telling me that i should wait a little bit

    some people are clocking the QX9650 into the 4500-4600 Mhz range on air.

    ya the QX9650 is sooooo tempting right now.

    but stock 1600FSB on the QX9770 is 133t status!

    Plus the TDP for both proc's are the same!

    ok...say the processors are the same then waiting for the 9770 is a no brainer!...why wait!?...get the 9650 when it comes out.
