Looks like you got owned if it has the new chip, but no HDMI portAnyway it seems like the 65nm GPU won't be out until August so i'm getting a PS3. Who wants to buy a console only to have it blow up in their face?

AFAIK there's not a single premium without HDMI port that has the 65nm chips. Rarely when you RMA with microsoft do you get a brand new xbox360. What's the lot number on yours? The date on it is merely the date they fixed the one you got(meaning, it means nothing, it could say yesterday and still be a fixed launch console), the lot number is what's important.
You see, they added hdmi to the premium earlier this year(may/june IIRC), and the 65nm chips(which btw, have a slightly different motherboard) came afterwards. In otherwords, afaik, they didn't make a mobo without HDMI for the 65nm chips. Plain and simple. It wouldn't make sense to spend the R&D dollars to make a board for the 65nm chips without HDMI when all non-hdmi xbox360's are being phased out.
Basically, just because you have the new heatsink, doesn't mean you have a 65nm processor.
to follow up on my purchase of the xbox 360 premium. It does have the new motherboard with the hdmi port on it and it has the new heatsink. However, i hook it up to my UPS and it say that idle it pull 125watts and under load its 145watts. Aparently these numbers coincide with what someone said earlier about the power output of the 90nm chips. The 65nm chip is supposed to make the rig run at around 85 watts. (someone said 1 amp for 90nm rigs and .7 amps for 65nm rig after doing his own experiement on the halos 3 edition with the new chip, and at 120 volts that equates to 120watts and 85 watts respectively)
The production date written on the xbox 360 is 7-17-07. Like i said i bought it yesterday in houston at Fry's. So you may want to hold off a little longer till they run out of these elite boards that they are throwing into premiums. The new boards with the new cpu will come out once the elite boards are used up, I am assuming.
