Yeah, I think abit would not replace/repair the board if you sent it back to them modded. I could be wrong as I know DFI had an "Approved" aftermarket HSF they endorsed for the old NF4 boards.
Best bet would be to replace it with the original pins, but be prepared in case they figure out that the HS was removed (that does technically void the warranty).![]()

I've been trying to run the 8x multi with an E6600 for 3.8gh and ~ddr1200. I guess running a lower multi other than default puts a greater strain on the NB because I have no problem getting ddr1200 with the 9x. No errors!!
