Hey guys can someone please explain the memory dividers with this board? I'm used to seeing the typical 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 2:3 etc. options in the bios.

So if I'm running 425x9=1700fsb (3825mhz) and my ram is PC8500 what option should I be setting in the bios to get my 1066? Sorry for the confusion

@425 FSB the 1:1.25 option will give you about 1063.....just change the dividers in bios, it will show you the resulting memory speed before you actually set it (it won't actually change anything unless you save and exit bios).

I am beginning to think it might be time to RMA this board. I took the heatpipes off to remount and make sure they were not too tight. Even with the bolt mod I still had 3 or 4 of the PMW chips that didn't make contact with the hs, And yes I had made sure it was laying flat and the bolts were tight. This board when it was new had a corner to opposite corner warp but I figured once it was bolted down it wouldn't be an issue. And I am still having power issues of some kind. If I take the vCore above 1.5 and start Prime I get an instant shut down. If I max the MCH I get an instant shut down. When I finally get an o/c that is Prime stable, give it a few days and it will no longer be stable. I get almost a a full .10 drop on vCore at idle from the bios settings. I have swapped an Powerstream 520 for the PCP&C 850 thinking it was a psu issue but it keeps getting worse. I am about to give up. Do you think it is just the motherboard having some kind of issues and I should RMA it?

This might be better off in the TRUE thread, but I'd appreciate if you guys could weigh on a temp situation here. The chips an E6400 @ 3500. I'm now @ 500 and the only limiting factors the heat so far. The TRUE's mount is solid, TIM applications fine, cpu and heatsink have been lapped sufficiently, but the pipes do not feel hot and I don't think it's pulling the heat away like it should.

    cpu fan: Scythe SFLEX E 120mm @ 1200RPM
    intake fan: 3 SFLEX E
    exhaust fan: 2 SFLEX E

    vcore: 1.475 bios
    drop: 1.43/1.44 uguru/windows
    droop: 1.41/1.42 orthos blend

    room temp: 26C
    idle core temp: 50C
    load core temp: 65C

Doesn't that seem a little high? Thanks!!

EIST wont work if you change multiplier, like knight stated.

C1E works fine with diffrent multis, unless your going for high FSB, then its a crapshoot.

C1E will help keep the cpu cooler though for your daily driver settings

that is what i recommended a while ago, getting a new board...the shut down thingy is not normal for just maxing out MCH or ICHIO 1.5...it does not happen on my board...i think the power regulation on the board has a defect in one or many components.

the temp might be a wee bit high for othos blend...am i understanding right that you have 3 intake and 2 exhaust fans for your case?...what is the rpm for those fans?

the other issue is your cpu fan speed...i think is a wee bit low for orthos blend.

Yup, and all fans spin @ 1200RPM in a Stacker 810 w/ no grills. They're rated @ 49CFM, 25DB. I'm a big fan of a very quiet pc, so a higher noise fan's not an option.

I guess my main question's whether or not you guys have warm or hot heatpipes on your TRUE's. Most of you seem to be running quads, so surely it'll be warmer.

    Thanks!

Help guys. Not sure what the hell is going on but it's very frustrating. Machine was running fine at 3.8 (425x9), turned it off, went to bed, came home from work the next day, fire it up and the thing won't overclock for crap. Heck even running the "Turbo Mode" in uGuru just reboots the machine. It's like it only wants to run at stock settings. So I cleared the CMOS, pulled battery etc...boot back up and try overclocking again and same story.

I know it's not the ram as I've ran Memtest at stock speeds and passes 40+ loops on 5.

    Suggestions?

If popping out the battery and clearing CMOS didn't restore proper operation re-flash the BIOS.

    Suggestions?
since you did the vdroop mod, i would increase the resistance to get some gap between set vcore and actual vcore to see if that has any influence over your problem....in other words, make it like you had no vdroop mod installed.
