Yeah, at this point, I'm definitely looking forward to the first posting with Air Cooling.

Not all of us have access or interest in the fancy Dry Ice runs and Cascade set-ups.

"Real world" improvements on air is what I'm concerned with, now that we've had a taste of what this new line of chips can do under extreme cooling. (Thanks to Fugger)
    .
    ***Interesting note***
I had never run the Fritz program (posted above) oddly enough, even though I've been aware of it for quite some time.
I just ran it and compared it to the chart in krampak's post. The results came up as follows: Speed - 10.23 / Kilo nodes - 4909.
That puts me miles away from the top of the chart, but respectable, nonetheless.

Now that I know where I stand - I'd love to see how that Penryn chomps away at Fritz.

I personally want to know how well the retail chips will oc. As fugger mentioned, he used an es cpu, and I hate to rag, but we've got to be realistic that not everyone will get the same results he did

When the CEO of Intel asks you to give a demonstration for the brains of the world to see, it just don't get any better than that!

Charles you looked like you do this sort of thing everyday, very cool.

not likely, cooling dual socket quads with 2x two stage cascades would be a very expensive proposition indeed.

Most likely you would have two single stages, one for each.

Here's the real deal... do you remember what happened in the past months ?
Let me help you out a bit... "lucky" guys with Intel Core 2 Quad Engineering Samples ( Stepping B1/B2 )...they got nice overclocks...ES chips you say, so don't expect retail samples to do better...oh well...retailed B3 stepping launched...and people reaching way better clocks with retail chips.

There are lots of factors here, but core revisions are a plus for the retail channel

Lol at that youtube, I was asked if I had a second, when I turned around there was a camera is in my face that ended as quickly as it started.

Stephen is in the background = proof he went to IDF.

Also, Robert from Corsair, Christopher (memory arch Intel), Ken Brown from Nvidia or at least he was at his booth.
