I will try EIST again, but the first time resulted in freeze at boot. That was with an 8 multi.

    Thanks, will do.

Yeah, I've noticed windows doesn't boot if you turn on EIST and C1E with anything but the max multiplier.

Even with the max multiplier I get a lock up when the PC is at desktop. Running 9x400 with 1.52 set in BIOS. (load stable at 1.42)

Well your overclock is affecting that. I'm talking about having the CPU @ stock speeds but a different multiplier ex.) 8x300 =2.4 but unstable with C1E & EIST

If you run EIST and manually drop the multiplier strange things can happen.

I run both EIST and C1E enabled on both my IP35 Pro and AW9D Max. Both Dual Core processors are heavily overclocked and will pass a round of Orthos. Both overclocks were established and tested with EIST and C1E enabled.

I know others run both enabled with overclocked Quads, if you get freezes at the desktop my guess is you aren’t running enough Vcore.

Oh how I hate the squealing sound my mobo makes when I run Prime95 blend test, luckily it only hits in during 8-12K(?) FFTs and then fades away, and even then it's not squealing non-stop but varies a lot. Strangely it doesn't occur during the small or large FFTs tests. Or at least I hope it's my mobo as I'm going to get rid of it anyway...

Hey guys can someone please explain the memory dividers with this board? I'm used to seeing the typical 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 2:3 etc. options in the bios.

So if I'm running 425x9=1700fsb (3825mhz) and my ram is PC8500 what option should I be setting in the bios to get my 1066? Sorry for the confusion

EIST wont work if you change multiplier, like knight stated.

C1E works fine with diffrent multis, unless your going for high FSB, then its a crapshoot.

C1E will help keep the cpu cooler though for your daily driver settings
