I'm on 8/23... So I can't confirm whether it's a 9/13 issue.

8/23 here too.
I had a bad post on the 8/10 bios with the damn C1 but after an EZ clear I never had it since. Mind you my system is overclocked very low at the moment till I get a handle on things. Just bumped my FSB to 333 from 266 and left all else alone for now. At higher levels perhaps I would notice issue arise as well which is what I do NOT want.

will proper GTL tuning solve this?

You must have gotten someone new because when I needed a Com Port PCI/connector Donna had it to me in 2 days and did not ever ask for Dollar 1 from me. Donna sent out what I needed because a customer called and said they needed a COM PORT PCI/Adapter for their Firewall and that was all that was needed to be known!

Has someone tested water-block compability on this board?
f.ex: do the mcw30 fit?
what about the mosfets, if you change NB and SB coolers, is it still possible to use the stock mosfet cooler?
regards
I put some thought into this, in the end (I have not one it yet) I decided it would be almost as good to use the transpiper plate and pass the heat from the NB/pwm/sb to one single cpu block, slight loss of performance (thermal resistance on cpu), however a perfectly feasible compromise for ease of use. Not to mention the chances of invalidating warranty by cutting heatpipes etc....
regards
Raja
have you got a board already? There's the LT version, which comes without the heatpipe and transpiper.Has someone tested water-block compability on this board?

Basically the board I would of bought instead, and I'm sure a few other would of, had it of been available the same time as the UT.
DFI should make the heatsinks of that board available to UT users in my opinion, so that we can watercool without hacking up the heatpipe.

RLM - It seem that would be the right thing for DFI to do.
I wanted to know if anyone knows if the EK-NF4 Rev.1 block (or any block beyond the mcw30) would fit the NB/SB...could one get away with a passive block for the SB?

The Thermalright HR-09 Type3 will fit the mosfets if one is inclined to remove the heatpipe assembly. Unfortunately I received an email last night stating that the Type3 has been delayed a month. So release date now looks to be around the end of October.

Double Post I know but.....what say we all take this thread over to DFIclub in addition to having it here on XS so noobs that don't know of XS community have some working knowledge of whats going on with real life user examples? Not to mention dficlub could use some dfi owner participation as well.![]()

has anybody else had there mobo act kinda strange after a cold boot?
for instance..a little while ago it was looking like bad weather here so I shut down my computer (to avoid lightning damage) and unplugged the surge protector from the wall....
well after the bad weather had passed I plugged it back in and turned the computer on...booted up fine...got on the web...and then it froze up....
so I rebooted and when I did my raid array was lost...rebooted and it was found...
I have been running 500 X 8 now for about 4 days..(primed for 31hrs,3d Mark 05,06..2 instances of super pi 32M passed..etc..etc..) so I would assume I am stable....
I am also running the 8/23 bios...anybody else having random hiccups?

They're doing fine. Thanks for asking.
The more places info is posted the easier it is for a person to find it. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much with my board since the first week. I'm hoping to be able to get back to it next week.
Most of what I have to post will be found at DFI-Club. The more technical or extreme will be at either TTR or WOL. Raja has started posting some info pertaining to Read Delay Phase tuning over at the Club also. Hopefully soon we'll have BIOS explanations and various sample configurations posted.
We like extreme as much as anyone else but the tech support side needs to come first.
This board makes annoying noise that comes out of pwm area. At first I thought it was memory. I removed memory and booted and it was still making that noise. Gets louder under load.
Dfi overlooked support for 3pin fans from cpu fan header, so 3pin fan will run at full speed.
For my taste board is too hot. Out of abit, asus, gigabyte, this one gets the highest chipest temps. Though it beats abit in temps of pwm. That extra heastink useless, I got better results with a quiet fan.
I like the fact that vcore is rock solid and that it has lots of options for tweaking. Working options not like abit that selecting anything would casue board not to post. It might have been defective board. Though high mobo tems, annoying noise, and no fan managment are too much to keep it.
