For me it's all about Integrity.

    in·teg·ri·ty (ĭn-tĕg'rĭ-tē)
    n.
Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
The state of being unimpaired; soundness.
The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.

IMO intel has none and AMD has loads of it.

As far as the trolls go... "I love AMD, I used to run AMD blah blah blah..."
You're a bunch of Mugwump fencesitters. Ya got your Mug on one side of the fence with your Wump on the other. All y'all need to stick your Mugs up your Wumps. And it wouldn't hurt ya one bit, since y'all went over to the Dark Side it wouldn't matter, anyway. Y'all can't see past the crap you're spewing now.

So why not leave the good folk who support AMD alone. Quit trying to make excuses for why you went to the Dark Side.

    BRUNO

Try Conroe for a excuse. And why do you behave so imature and aggressive? the people buying what they want to
spend their money on without "chivalrous" sentimentalites and all that bull is now considered to be 'bad', 'evil' people?

Make your own excuses , you can start by your thread which either is a invitation to a
big amd-vs-intel flamewar that spans 13 pages or a take on imdb's wholeheartly sillyness 'agree or die' threads. What is it built on?

Since your not open for any discussion judging by your crapping, trolling stamps i guess the later.

Thank You G80. That was a perfect example of what I was trying to draw out. Like it or not... you're proving my point of how ridiculous it all is.

I'll just continue to stand up for what I believe in , and in some small way stand up to the behemoth intel.

So do us all a favor. Stick your Mug back up your Wump over on the Dark Side.

Now you fully understand why I have about 14 posts in the AMD section the last 2 years I have faith in my wallet, not AMD or Intel since both have faith in only their own wallets as well. Both AMD & Intel are the same and only their size separates them. Neither company wouldn't piss on us to put us out if we were on fire unless they could make a Buck for doing so. By we I mean Intel and AMD folks, users, fans and etc...............

The other real funny part in all of this that others pretend folks like some of these posters here doesn't in fact exist

I didn't aim anything I said at you. It's just a simple FACT not an Opinion that folks saying stuff like, I only buy brand X, is bad for Consumers as a whole. This creates higher prices, slows down innovation and is bad for everyone but Company Brand X. X = all Companies.

Correct. However, saying that it's stupid to buy anything but Y for whatever reason (except gross malfunction) is just as bad. It takes both sides.

I'll be 26 Thursday. Age has nothing to do with intelligence, wisdom, or veracity of statements. It just has to do with how many trips you've made around the sun.

    Amen!

I'm on my third AMD right now and I was sooo happy that my brother picked AMD for his new system. Why did he pick it? Cuz it had a nice price and he could drop a Phenom in. Don't you just love that he's thinking ahead to the next AMD thing? I certainly do.

First of all, you're half right about the age thing.

There's a young kid that is 19. I had him help me with re-wiring my pickups and Tone knobs on my Guitar. Hell, he can do tons jobs like that. There a Bass Player thats 27 that I envy he's so good. I've been playing twice as long and probably not half as good as he is.

You don't have both sides when Consumers turn into Fans and only buy from one company. They hurt themselves more than anyone else. Sure there's freedom of choice or to choose. Exclusive buying is NOT stupid but just NOT smart.

Well, happy Birthday. I think most of us gain a little wisdom, are a little more set in our ways, and hopefully, have a little more tolerance for other points of view. But, I wouldn't judge someone simply because of their age.

I guess it takes a few more trips around the sun to figure out why monopolies are bad and we have Anti Trust legislation. Seems to me that our legislators haven't done their job in the new age of computing. Prolly cause most of em need help checking their email.

Choosing AMD over intel is like guys choosing Linux over Windows. It may leave you with a few more hurdles to jump but there is a certain satisfaction to be derived from it.

The problem is we don't all agree that Intel is a monopoly or that AMD is any better at all. After all the flames die down, each company is in business to make money, not friends. Last time I checked, Exclusive deals aren't against the law=P

I'm from Arkansas and we have a saying for an Old Fanboy. "There's no fool like an old fool". This means the longer you wrongly believe in something, the harder it is correct that something. I've always said if I bought computer parts based on only moral honest companies, I never have a computer. I have two AMD computers and two Intel based.
