Problem with my q6600 and asus blitz ?? need help please!!!

    Hello guys
i have a really weird problem in my system and im wondering that somebody give me some reasonable explanation.
    My system is:
    -q6600
    -Asus Blitz Formula
    - 2gb OCZ Reaper pc8500
    - PSU Enermax Galaxy 850w
    - BFG 8800GTX
    - 2 raptors raid0

The problem: dont boot correct after some changing on bios. If i just restart system is ok, but if i shut down the pc i have to switch off the psu or press the clearcmos button on the back of mobo. The system starts fine, i dont loose any setting on bios and overclock just fine!!!! THIS JUST HAPPEN WHEN I DO A SWITCH OFF FROM OS OR CHANGE FSB ON BIOS.
OK, try to contact ASUS technical assistance and after describe the weird problem said could be PSU, Case or MOBO.
The thing is, case, i doubt because ive used rubber platform to setup my system before mounting in the case, so is no electrical issue.
After many reboots and changing many times the configurations i load the default settings and the problem goes. Dont need switch off psu or press clearcmos. So i started to change settings one by one and try to see which setting on bios will start the issue. Is exactly when i change the FSB or memory frequency the problem(if i can say is a problem) starts.
I just power off my psu or reset button and everything starts normally and i could be able to use without problems at 3.5 ghz.
is just annoying!!! Restart=ok switch off= when i boot the ligths of fsb turn on 3 steps(for who knows well Blitz Formula) northbridge and sb leds stay all on. Just turn off psu or press the holly button everithing comes back to normal.
    WHAT IS HAPPENING?????
sorry for my bad English, since now best regards to all.

Does the pc shut off correctly? The reason why I ask is because the Enermax I have keeps the fans running for some time afterwards to cool things down before complete shutdown and if I interrupt that process, then some weird things happen.

On another note, do you know of anywhere I can buy the Blitz Formula that's in stock and what do you think of it?

    i7 3770K
    ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe
    16GB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600
    240GB HyperX SSD
    EVGA GTX 680 SC+
    X-Fi Fatality
    Corsair AX1200

    Hi

You are not alone i read others are having the same problem with the restarts on the Formula

Try taking a look over here

    use the search

Make sure you have the latest bios

I had the same problem till i set most of my setting manual in the bios and found stability.

Now boots everytime. (touch wood )

My first post here even if I follow the forum every day

You have a very simular setup that I have, my specs:

    qx6850
    -Asus Blitz Formula
    - 2gb OCZ Reaper pc9200
    - PSU Enermax Galaxy 850w
    - Asus 8800 Ultra
    - 2 raptors 150 raid0

I started to change my X6800 to E6600 and no problem except that when you have fixed all biossetting and closed it down for the evening, next morning just the fans starts. I manually set all values in bios and then it worked.

Changed from E6600 to QX6850 and same problem, fans starts but no boot.
Manually set everything and it works. The problem I got atm is that my memsetting is not working at higher frequenses then 1066 atm, need to figure that out.

    hello Glennswe!!!
Mine is problem only when i change fsb or ram frequency settings, but works with overclock anyway after switch off-on psu.
Trying to figure out with someone on i4memory.com.
