A question, in the first screen the V-core in CPU-z is right?
    1,488v for 3715Mhz?

Remember this is an ES sample of the wolfdale chip, who knows how the retail versions will clock, and at what Vcore might be needed...... I think the only ES chip that OCed pretty well while in the retail form are the G0 Q6600's. I think we are pretty used to seeing ES chips OC like crazy will fairly low voltage, but maybe this is a ES, that might be more like a retail??? 1.488V for 3.7GHz still is pretty damn good, concidering this chip starts life @ 2.33GHz
    Nothing anymore

    Well this is right.
And I've forgot that this chip start from 2.33Ghz
I can't imagine what can do the 3.16Ghz Wolfdale
Very soon the SPI 1M will be obsolete with those monster

I don't think the volts are that great. Look at the G0 dc and quads and you will not think so. B2 & B3, yes. G0, no.

HAHAHAHA....welcome to the joy of AMD overclocking

I've gotta see your new hw when I come to China later this year. Maybe we can bench this time instead of sitting around and doing nothing but play with your dog

looks like these CPUs are not just shrunk conroe as the extra cache would not have that much impact normally....3-4 seconds tops in 32M

thanks for giving us early results!

Honestly I was expecting much more from Wolfdale. Considering its an ES chip, its probably one of the better OCers compared to when these will hit retail. Seeing how the price difference is so small between dual vs quads, Wolfdale will only be worth it if they are much better OCers than Quad 45nm. But who knows, things could change a lot with different revisions, BIOS, etc. Was hoping to see 4GHz air on Wolfdale, but my expectations are probably too high ^_^

Well my friend, you have to notice that this perticular cpu he used uses a multipel 7 , like an E6300... and how many of those do you see hit 4ghz? on 10L Ln2 maybe think its an awsome result and high fsb for 7 multiple...

3.7 is a good OC ..not many low multi do hit that..
i can just imagine what the 9,5 multiple will do! *yummie*

Hahaha...I think it'll have problems when going through the metal detectors. Plus, the autocascade will almost immediately take your cpu into cold-bug territory...unless, of course, you plan to run something like 2.0vcore into that 45nm
