AH! Very nice to hear. Thanks for sharing this. Did you actually remove the heatpipe assembly yourself? Was it hard to do? I was wondering if taking it off, cleaning it and applying MX-2 would be a worth while thing.

Yes.....I did remove the entire Heat Pipe assembly and it was very time consuming and awkward. Like I said Don't Bother!

I just flashed to the latest. The BIOS that came with the board only allowed a maximum 10x multi with an QX6700.
Latest BIOS gave up to 50x multi.

Which latest bios did you use?

Thanks your testing. I'll ask Oskar to release unlock multi bios for QX6700.

How was the PWM block attached? Do you think it could be easily removed? Thinking about cooling just the NB and SB blocks. Just wondering if I can take the PWM block apart without cutting the block.

    TIA for the help.

NO! If you want to cool everything independently you're either going to have to cut it free from the rest of the Heat Pipe Assembly or go after market cooling around the board.

I believe that Thermalright has a PWM solution for the D.F.I P35
