    They compare a couple HPC apps and STREAM bandwidth measurement to a 2.33GHz Clovertown, make up a new power measurement ("ACP") term, need 120W for their Q4 2.3GHz part...

    And they actually plan to use the "flushing toilet" logo for Barcelona?!?
    So what you gonna do when your crap-2-duo comes second to a toilet flush?

    BS. "ACP" is a made up number used to give the impression of better performance/Watt because apparently AMD thought leading only in performance/Watt/$ would make even the most devout of followers go .

    its not, but belive what you want.

    even p-d 840EE smithfield only touches the 130W under rare circumstances, but same goes for the A64 X2 6400+

    anyways 2 more days.

    /*OT
    the 6400+ cannot surpass its 125W TDP, not in this world at least.
    that's the chips theoreticaly maximum TDP not a number dreamed
    by a marketing person in the night.
    */

    It's interesting to see AMD fallow the same path as Intel in giving
    it's chips a TDP number based on real world applications workloads.
    Having 2 different TDP measuring systems was confusing for many,
    now things should be more clear in this aspect.

    ok, well thats your theory, and here goes your theory ... the E4300 needs 22W under load and has a TDP of 65W... sure, some real avarage power consumption intel gives with its TDP.

    oh and look, even the spaceheater aka 840EE does not consume the 130W.

    anyways i dont want to drag this thread offtopic any further, back to barcelona, i really hope they are better than compareable intel procs, so intel needs to counter them.
