There are no 3700+ newcastle for socket 939, for socket 754 only...

if there is one, it don´t goes well on a dfi motherboard, i tested some 3400+ socket 939 newcastle and they all didn´t start. these processors came from oem -pc and only works on asrock or other oem-boards but no dfi !!!

I tried it yesterday. And it even WORKED!!! On a DFI Venus...

CPUZ said 3700+ NewCastle. Wonder what's the difference between this one and 3800+ Newcastles... Didn't OC very great, either, but OK for a Newcastle I guess.

The benching rig is in the garage (no internet etc etc, writing this some other PC), so I can't post pics etc atm, but I will later

The 3800+ has 2,4 Ghz at default and hypertransport 1000 Mhz and 512 kb L2 Cache.
The 3700+ Newcastle is an OEM-CPU and has also 2,4 Ghz, but only 800 Mhz hypertransport and 512 kb L2 Cache.
The hypertransport is the only differenc...
    Thats also with the 3400+/3500+.

This 3700+ Newcastle is an amazing CPU, I will try to get this one also to buy but where ? ebay only i think.

Your Vcore is really high...the deafult vcore is around 1,5 volts and you has around 1,7 volts for only 200 mhz higher ? ^^

We didn't really OC it too much, just for fun I tried 3g @ 1.7v lol. Didn't work (shocking, huh? ^^). Next I did was just 260x10. Temps weren't that bad so I just left the voltage where it was.

Don't know if BP mem controller is very great, either. Maybe it has no coldbug

I got it off ebay, yes. Looked like a stock photo but I just gave it a shot. Think I paid $30 for it lol. Nice price for a GUARANTEED WR

I have a 3200+ CABGE 0602APMW. I think I got it to 2.9 stable, on water. Which is pretty good for a BG chip i think

LOL, damn you stunned_guy, you steal all my CPUs

I refreshed the stuff I was watching, and 3 of them had YOU as high bidder!!

Well, you missed a KAB1E 0631APMW 2 weeks ago, hope I get it soon. I'll ROFL for a week if that one is golden.

And good luck on the A64 WR's. Please tell us if you find another 3700+ Newcastle

Damn I wish I had the cash to continue this madness. I can only spend like $500 per month from now on, and I spend alot of cash on dual cores, too I need some nice cooling as well, got 3 WR's on water + ice cubes in the res, and I don't think I'll get many more without reducing my CPU budget *sigh* (apart from the 3700+ NC, and Sempron 3200+ Winchester - only 1 entry on ripping so far ) so I can afford a Vapo or something like that.

You have one that ends with 677, which made me wonder, for a few seconds at least, if this guy had stolen one of your old chips
