    BASTARD

i'm getting the new X38 DDR3 mobo in a few weeks biatch (hopefully the hype is true about that chipset )

since the Intel chipset seems to clock the quad vince has a tad higher i can't wait to see him pair it up with the new X38 chipsets....that will be just crazy
is it the ripple that's reducing the max OCs on the 680i mobo vince?

I'd really like to see KP test high card clocks on ln2 but I doubt it will matter. GT2 will scale as well.

All I have to say, I said it in the other thread.......
27k is a "bugged scrore" as for me.....

GT1 will NEVER goes not above GT2 BUT not even close to it....
When you "top" the cards (at a certain level), GT1 NEEDS CPU AND Ram power to gain a bit...
GT2 needs a bit of them both PLUS GPU power.....
So if we are high in CPU - Rams - GPU, GT2 will scale better coz it USES ALL 3 of them dispite the GT1 that after an overclocking level of GPU clocks, ONLY needs CPU and Rams of the system...

    FINAL words from me:

EVEN if you smash your arss onto ground, you will NEVER get a GT1 better OR EVEN EQUAL with GT2......GT2 will ALWAYS be higher.....

I think that Kinc should reconsider the bench of the 27k....I know it's difficult to do so because he has published it now PLUS there is Mushkin (in the backround who wanted a WR or so) etc, BUT if it was me in your place Kinc, I would reconsider this..... ....Though it's up to you....

P.S. Don't worry, I have 4 x ATIs here and next week I'll play with them....NOT to be sure of what I'm writing right now (because I'm sure) BUT to prove that there is NO WAY GT1 be higher OR even equal (close) to GT2.....

.....and remember: After some clocks of the VGA's (from a level and upwards), GT1 needs ONLY CPU and Rams were GT2 needs ALL three of them - CPU, Rams AND GPU power...

I said that grahpics is the biggest part in the gt1 score (Graphic Power and ...). And again Im not alone in this we are two that ran the rigg and its up the the second one now if the scores stays or not. Vince need to tests with higher card clocks since the cards clocks are bottlenecking him.

Not with 2900 Crossfire. Uping from 1175 core to 1200 we see still see a increase in GT1 with 2900 crossfire. But I know what you meen with 8800.

Posted this in the other thread too, have a look a this. Single card, only difference is the card's clocks (so same mobo/mem/...).

Difference between GT2 and GT1 certainly becomes smaller when upping the core frequency. The second test was done at 910Mhz, the first one 890Mhz, so only a margin of 20MHz. Difference between GT1 and GT2 was 6.6, after 20Mhz core freq. increase 5.2!

Heh, I think anyone would give ya that one. Hopefully baby quadzilly is in some tray out there waitin' for ya. Thank you for removing the score, it was the right choice and in the long run you will be much happier you did. You made the proper honorable choice here.

@blind- your comparison is totally irrelevant here, I'm sorry. I don't believe there's a SINGLE score on the ORB where GT1 passes GT2. If you go and look at very very slow CPU speed setups you will often find them approaching each other---never equally and certainly never having GT1 passing GT2...never.

Thanks for your incuraging words Gautam, they are needed now. Shamino and I didnt have the most luck last week. First of the robbery. Then we thaught we had 27k celebrated and was very happy. Got home realized something is of with the score. I'm really on the ground now. Time for a break to gather new motivation for this game.

Come back real soon Kinc, we need some red power also! Overklokk is "out" of the game for the moment, but I think iam going to take my QX6850 and Ultra card up to him, I think he has some cascades standing there

Even tho the score might be bugged or whatever, everybody knows that you and Shamino is in the top 4 benchers currently active. That shines of respect!

Good luck for the perfect QX6850 and owning the orb once again Kinc!

For sure Marcus, I am sure my cpu made things a little easier for me...maybe the new unit too . Didnt need any cap mods though on either board which was nice.

Calamari is the italian name, they are very good taste filled with bread crumbs, olives, capperi and cooked in tomato sauce. Or round cutted and fried with grain flour in very hot olives oil.
This thread is becoming to be really interesting, and for sure I cook Calamari better than I made 3D Benchies.

At the end I have never seen 3DMak06 with GT1 score higer than GT2 score, the first was 27k by Kinc and Shamino. At this moment I think (99.9% of probability) this could be a bugged run, that's all. We wait for other future scores to be 100% sure about this.

Anyway compliments to all because you are extreme overclocker legends: the competition continues!
