Experimenting a bit with memory, CLK etc.
Seems these CLK values change significantly with different dividers. So on a 266/667 the values on mine are around 12-14. With the 266/800 around 1-3.
The most impact from changing these values I've seen so far is with the 266/800 divider. Loosening them up a bit let's me hit higher mhz with my ram.
Swapped out the Gskill for Geil 8500 cas 4's. Have been able to boot up at 1248 mhz 5-5-5-15 so far. I couldn't do this with the ip35 pro, topping out at about 1140 ish. So that's positive in my book.
No real performance increase over say 1040mhz 4-4-4-12 in superpi 1m though. Yes I know superpi 1m isn't the whole story.
Since doing this test, I have been working to get 4-4-4-12 stable. Not easy, certainly at 1000+. Looking forward to future bios
Note not tested for any real stability in this example.

I'm still wondering about GTL, should we enter higher or lower value to maximize the board ??
BIOS 823 seems better than others for me.

Basically for quad cores, you multiply the FSB vtt by 67. So for instance if the FSB vtt is 1.5v your gtl refs should be 101. If the FSB vtt is 1.4v then 94. That's the theory anyway.I'm still wondering about GTL, should we enter higher or lower value to maximize the board ??

For those curious about pics of my HS installed on this motherboard see my worklog in my sig. It's updated with pictures!
Currently using a 560watt Silverstone PSU until I get my RMA'd Enermax Galaxy back. Then I will have a go at over clocking.
I will update this thread when I have more time this weekend (hopefully).

I am getting the same (backwards) behavior on vdroop control (BIOS 8/17)

Sweet pics bud! I'm going through them now. Hopefully all the problems you were having earlier will be sorted out.
Hmmm... I see you have the Ultra 120 Extreme installed with the fans facing north and south, not east and west. Was this a personal choice or is that the only way it would mount? I am hearing conflicting reports of it fitting one way but not the other. I am very curious as to your findings after trying to install the TRUE on this board. I heard the NB heatsink gets very close to the heatpipes but it does fit?? Please let me know as I am up in the air on fans because of this issue. 38mm thick fans don't look to fit very well as a suck at the top portion of the TRUE in the TJ09 which is the case I am also using. Much appreciated.

Personal choice of installing the fan like that. See my worklog - post #2. That's how the airflow is designed to work in my case. Didn't try it the other way, but looking at it, I don't think I would have a problem turning it the other way (the heatpipes are taller than the northbridge). However, I've also been told that having this HS facing north to south provides better cooling so the choice is really up to you. As you can tell my temps seem to be just fine. I'll just have to wait for my RMA'd PSU to return before I overclock.
My problems with this board were being caused from most incompatiability with Vista 64. I had to:
1. RMA my Enermax - because it was defective - and it was causing most of my problems
2. The BIOS needed to be updated to use 4GB's of RAM - wouldn't boot otherwise (updated to the 8/15 release)
3. Needed to update the SATA drivers to get it to detect my harddrives properly.
Besides that no other problems and things have seem to be running just fine with this board.

Awesome bud, thanks for the reply. Since I have the same case I was worried about mounting. I am glad the orientation of the TRUE installation was due to personal preference and not a forced obligation due to space constraints. I too am going to go the 4 x 1GB route so should probably update my bios as well. I may go straight for the 8/23 release before anything else.

I just got mine Monday and have it up and running, watercooled CPU and VC.
I have a 120mm fan mounted on brackets over my RAM and it gets a good amount of air on the NB. It does run cooler with the fan running, but not cool enough to remain stable for hours at 500mhz bus. (keep in mind I live in Arizona and my ambient temp in the house is 82f so I am hotter than most people)
After installing the copper plate, the watercooled CPU block helps the whole system cooler, and I am now able to run for many hours stable at 500mhz FSB. The transpiper doesn't seem neccesary for me as the surface it mounts to no longer gets hot since installing the copper plate.
Working on stable 4ghz with my E6750, not quite stable yet, but I think I will get there with some tweaks.
