i heard a news somewhere today the x38 will be launching early next month, just like p35 did weeks before its actual nda lift. the reviews can not be put up before the 25th though. cant freaking wait.

Normally I don't even care for the PCB color or the general color combination, but flashy green and yellow Dimm slots on the Lanparty and red PCB combined with blue and white slots on the Infinity are just too much for my taste. At least if it is on such big pictures like the ones in these previews.

But as I already said, as long as this thing perform good, I don't even care anymore. I have no window in my case, so who cares about a color that you don't see? It could be the most horrible color in the world and I would still buy the board if it was better than the rest in that price segment.

BTW, I'm an opportunist when it comes to hardware. I am no fanboy by any means, but I buy whatever has the best price/performance ratio or just performs best. I don't care for names or looks, but for raw performance. That's also why my system doesn't look all too shiny and stuff, but rather plain and simple.

So I say: Let's wait for the quad results, but I already think that this could be a great product if the price is right, which I think will be the case here.

One last addition: I really like that DFI stopped placing the useless second 16x PCIe slot on the PCB while it was electrically just a 4x slot. Saves money, too.
