how about in a near future designate someone who offers to receive some extra cash from XS WCG members and make some pretty kick ass rig?
kick ass rig: 2x dual clover in a 1U case
total cost would be under 10 k ( no drives and no vga)

It's sexy but it's not dollar wise. really, a Q6600 on a rack is the smart way to run..either air or water cooled depending on your climate.
Clovers are sweet and I think that with the new 45nm xeons we might see 35K in a day from one box, the quads just can't be beat.
I'm waiting for someone to get a "good" Q6600 G0, water cool it and run it at 4200 24/7..At that speed it will be the best deal for a cruncher by far when points vs investment is added in. Maybe 21K a day from a quad like that.

@dave
but how about considering that for each righ you will be needing :
-an extra mobo ( considering you will be able just to run one cpu in one board;a good one actually that can OC considerably)
-liquid cooling gear expect to spend 200-300
-an psu
i was thinking this some days ago..
how about placing some 110/220v rated deltas?the whole rig could be placed in any place distant place ( I think someone said he has his stuff in the basement).
EDIT: maybe its not needed 110, just 12v powah..take a look at this:
Delta 120x76mm GFB1212VHW Dual Motor Extreme Case Fan - Sleeved
