Is there any disadvantage in going with IP35 instead of Pro? I don't plan to keep this board for long, only until X38 & 8900GTX hit the shelves and then I'll go to SLI on X38 so I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible - however not nickeling completely.
Checking at Mwave they list it for $134 minus $25 MiR*; I'd pick up a G0 Q6600 and 2x1GB PC8500 GEiL or OCZ Reaper ($40 MiR at Mwave**) as well - any advice?

    TIA

There's no guarantee of X38 being an SLI board. You're basing everything on assumption and rumor.

    X38 wonīt be SLI.
The SLI support is the only reason to buy a nvidia chipset board instead p35-965-975, give it to intel would be a commercial suicide .

    Yes.
Well, then I have to tell you the truth, I don't give a damn about SLI cticker, you know.
If it works, it works, if it isn't then isn't - couldn't care less about stickers or any other 'bling' on a mobo...

it's not worth the hassle of using unsigned drivers & hacks to get it to half work.

Errr how so? I can still go with an updated NV later on, don't you think?

Besides I bet it will work, just like SLI works in P35 - unofficial but it works, doesn't it?

However I'm still eager to hear about IP35 vs IP35 Pro...
