also, when you say all eist and thermal, tm2 doesn't drop multi at idle. only when thermal it hit, it drops to the lowest vid and fid. i take it c1e is off too?

nothing wrong with enabling c1e... dfi's c1e actually drops vcore as well (at least on p965), which is great if you're paying for power. For instance, 6x450=2700 at 1.36v uses 150w. 8x450=3600 at 1.48v uses 210w.

Ofcourse DDR3 helps as it can do silly clocks, but for DDR2 you really are wasting your time over 500fsb UNLESS you stay 1:1 and tweak a ton of registers to dial speed back in, but overall its still not as fast as staying under 500fsb.

Same for 680i, same for 975, same for 965, same for P35....Infact 975 is fastest below 450 not 490.

What if the ram can take a beating with tight timming, oh let's say 4-4-4-5 @2.3v and pair with a 500+fsb board and E6300 clocked to 3.6Gh+, are u still suggesting it'd be sub par with other higher multi cpu in terms of performance?

My first up overclocked run with the DFI P35 and G0 Q6600

Very very impressed gettting small fft prime stable @ 3.6 ghz straight up, and its still going after 1hr.. theres a lot of bios education to be done yet.

As for temps, Im sure they are higher in reality. Coretemp crashed the one time i tried to open it.

I already preordered it, but the shop doesn't have it at stock at the moment. I could get a tray Q6600 G0 now, but I'm waiting for the boxed version.

Not the price really is it, its the Tax thats added on in most countrys i.e. UK = 17.5%

Hi boy

The main can give Vcpu 1.84V max. we tested under LN2 today...need mod

And the cpuratio max for 6800 is 11!!

The main arrived in the moorning and we tested it under LN2 immediately....no air...no liquid before

with x6800 at 1.84v

you can plainly see that they are attached with 2 screws on the sb/nb/pwm..
