In this case, convection is probably helping the process.
I was more speaking of convection inside the case rather than inside the PSU. Regardless, by having the top psu fan sucking air, you're fighting the top fan and starving the gpu fan. You're also removing cool air from the intake that should otherwise go up into the cpu area.

    Question

Where can I buy a 3/4" chassic punch ? Also is this dremel good enough to mod with? http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...cStoreNum=8125

    Thank you in advance.

While I purchased my Greenlee punches from MSC,
    http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT...79876&PMT4NO=0

If you’re only planning on using them on PC cases, you may want to consider a less expensive set like:
    http://www.oselectronics.com/ose_p64.htm

As far as Dremel tools go, while it is the standard tool for case modders, I just find it esthetically unappealing.

Just wanted to offer my thanks to the 900 owners in this thread. I've just finished building my 900, and it only looks as nice as it does because of the hard work pioneered by the people in this thread.

I'm assuming to want to replace a deflective fan unit and not eliminate the fan.

It's not too hard, but you'll probably need to pull the top of the case off. There are 6 split-pins and two screws holding it on. 4 of the split-pins and the screws are easily reaching from inside the case. The two front pins are a little harder because they are above the drive bays. A long flat-head, screw driver can reach them. You may also have to remove the plastic trim around the drive bay to remove the top.

If you do remove the top fan housing, do yourself a favor and drill two hole directly below the front pins, so the next time you can get at the pins more easily from inside the drive bays.

    Love y'all's cases!!! Seriously.

I'm planning on to get this case very likely. But I'd like to know if the front mesh is aluminum or plastic? I'm planning on actually painting only the front mesh lime green. I'm wondering if Lime Green spray paint is actually available? I have looked in WalMart and only came across forest green Krylon for plastic. Is it alright to use this? Do I also need to use primer on the mesh before I paint it?

I also plan on painting on the inside completely black as well. With the green light fans. Use primer this part for sure, right?

I currently have Aluminus with dark blue painted on the inside. I'm loving what i Have done to this, but the paintjob is just too amateur. Now needing new case is just because of the door in front panel, they're just too simply annoying.

    Thanks in advance!!

The mesh is metal. For the paints, you'll probably want to try a hobbyshop or craft store for a better selection.

I got all my stuff yesterday except for the graphics card. That'll have to wait. I'll post some pics of the result when I get some decent quality pics. That's what you get with cellphones.

Some nice mods here, I like the one with 3 front 120mm fans and slimline dvd drive, nice work.

Thanks for the first poster for the cutting holes idea, I did it with my 900 a while ago, So I might as well post the pics.

Nice cable management. Mine sucks because all the cables from the PSU were too short to run behind the MB.

Michaels would be a good craft store to check. While your there, you may want to pickup one of these:

    http://www.solder-tools.com/prod_img..._heat_tool.jpg

    They're perfect for heatshrink tubing.

As far as hobbyshops go, it depends on your area, HobbyTown is one national franchise. They carrying products for static and remote control models, etc. If you're big into painting, you might want to consider an inexpensive airbrush so you can custom mix your own colors. The nice thing about airbrushes is the larger the subject, less expensive the tools needs to be.

No worries now I got the color I want. But what you have just said is my future reference if I needed it.

I already got presleeved HX520 Corsair. I already have everything I need. :P

I'll post here once I'm done.

What about the USB and 1394 wires? Is your CPU fan cable sleeved. How about the Power/Reset switch wires? For the love of God, man! No NAKED wires!!!
