Boards got a damn double pump cold start bug or feature

Turn the comp off overnight and turn power off at the psu = double pump bootup....yay bloody marvellous. Board need a new bios to fix the current half a dozen problems it has atm.

Board would be solid if they come up with a good bios.

I am still entirely mystified by the emblem on th ebox stating it is designer specifically for Water Cooling!?!
Anyone have any clue?? I mean it is a HUGE emblem on th ebox and any retail-shoppers will be attracted to it. WTF do they mean?

Its marketing spin for saying they fixed the cpu power system so it doesn't run hot as hell anymore so it can be used safely with watercooling where you don't have as much airflow over the motherboard. Obviously instead of admitting a mistake Asus chose to spin it as a "Premium" edition and charge more $, but I think they might have shot themselves in the foot by confusing people using air-cooling (unless they just expect them to keep buying the Deluxe).

Did you clear the cmos after flashing?

    Try that if you didn't.

    Very interesting thread.
I'm already quite satisfied with the OC-ability from my P5K-Dlx & Q6600 G0 but it looks like the P5K premium is going to take the overclocking potential of your hardwares up another level....very tempted in getting the premium to replace the deluxe

I hope the new P5K-Premium will take 4x1GB ram's OC-ability higher and more stable than P5K-Dlx.
P5K-Deluxe doesn't really shine in the 4x1GB ram OC area but other than that, it does everything an OC enthusiast ask for.

The Premium is only $10 more than the Deluxe in the US. That makes the market position of the deluxe confusing to consumers. Why should anyone chose the deluxe over the premium?

Just bought the P5K-Premium 18th Anni Black Pearl
Sorry for the poor quality pics...
The first pic is the cover of the box in metalic sapphire blue, very sexy, and the stamp of 18th Anni Black Pearl.
The second pic is the box in black so it's different from the pic shown above by Palese.

I think asus took a lot of heat over the "Designed for water cool" plus confused air people. I bet it cost them sales so they changed the box. I could be wrong

Alright! Our first head to head test by someone pushing the equipment to the limit! I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a difference beyond no mosfets soldered to the back of the PCB and a different box

Are you going to do a head to head challenge thread using the same cpu?
