From what I've been reading, when you use 1:1 or 5:6 (1:1.25 IIRC) you are on the 1333 strap, and the 2 higher ones are the 1066. Someone please correct me if I am wrong because I am still very new to Intel

I can't get 3.4Ghz stable, but I can run up to 503+ FSB and get through some benchmarks with 6x multi. My memory is not stable enough on this board (4 slots filled maybe why?) to do DDR2-1000 without over 2.250v which I am not going beyond. I am currently settled in at 400FSB DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 1T at 2.25v (2.1v is not stable with 1T). This only gives 3.2Ghz but like I said, my CPU won't do more than 3.4 and that's a stretch really to be honest. I can get it to boot at 1.4v and 3.4Ghz, but Vista froze at some point every time even up to 1.45v so I gave up and went to 3.2Ghz.

First try on my new IP-35 NON PRO
    E6420@3700
    Vcore 1.42 IIRC in bios.
    Vdim 2.2
    Watercooled

I'm really happy with this mobo, I was about to sell it before test it because some bad results people was getting with the non pro version and a stupid review made by a paid noob on the web (overclockers something.com)

The fsb wall on this proc is at fsb 500 on air/water and about 550 on SS, I tested with multi at 7 and I the mobo went up to 505 without prob, so it was the proc limit. I will try to test over phase as soon as I can

Loaded up windows however Orthos owned it in 30 seconds.

Any thoughts on how I could make it stable?

I'm golden at 3.6ghz right now, just seeing if I can hit 4ghz.

What would give me a noticeable difference in speed in normal games/benchmarks/daily use, 1:1 or another one of the dividers? My chip tops out a 3824mhz, im currently running 425 x 9 memory runny 1:1. Should i bump down toe fsb so i can run stable on 4:5?

That's why I can't get stable at DDR2-1000 without alot of voltage on my memory. The strap is 1066...benchmarked higher but memtest errors and vista doesn't like it much either (BSOD 2x). That makes sense now...I'll settle for 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 1T though really. I'm planning to get a quad soonish anyhow.

this board runs best on the 1333 memory strap versus the 1066.

So 1:1 is actually better in my situation then?

drop the multi to 8X and use 1:1.20 FSB to memory ratio...that ratio along with 1:1 will run at 1333 strap.

Using the 1066 strap with my memory is an equation for instant fail. I can run 600mhz on the 1333 at 1T with 2.1v (maybe less, haven't tested).

I just finished Johnny Bravo's vdroop mod and my vcore is rock solid with .08vdroop now Hopefully it brings some stability with my clocks

Just want to try and clear this up for myself, so the 1:1 and the 1:1.20 are on the 1333 strap and all the others fall into the 1066 strap then.

I'm considering either a P5K Deluxe, Blitz Formula, or IP35 Pro. I'd like to have some more info on the IP35 before making any purchase decision.

    1. For those of you running 4x1 GB, what is your max FSB? Do you have to reduce the strap or timings?

    2. I understand the 1066 strap on the P5KDel tops out at about 500 and the P35-DQ6 around 417. My Commando is at 400; anything over that and performance takes a dive. Where is it for the IP35--in other words--at what point (FSB) does performance drop off?

    3. How frequent are the BIOS updates?

    4. Are there any SATA/AHCI issues? I have four SATA drives and would like to run at least two of them in AHCI or perhaps RAID 0.

    5. Any other known problems I should be aware of? (Not all problems turn me away from a purchase)

    Thanks...

with 4x 1GB I can boot at around 503FSB with 6x multi. The strap as I understand is changed when you set certain multiplyers on the memory. 1:1 is 1333 and 1:1.20 is 1333. The others will be 1066. That's what I've found out thanks to some information here.

I just got the board yesterday but I'm happy with it. Stable and overclocks well.

keep trying! i'm running 4x1GB on Vista right now with 2.25 clocked at 5-5-5-15 @ 525. I think it could do it w/ less but this was the voltage point i picked for my stability testing.

i'm getting between 0.05 to 0.08, depending on the voltage i choose.

others aren't getting as much droop as me though, some are.

there is a vdroop mod for this board if that's what you're concerned about.

as for the best bios... i'm using the latest beta which is 11b04? not sure. there were about 3 beta's released over a period of a week.

the droop increases as you scale up on the vcore....i am getting about 0.04 to 0.05 difference between what is set in the bios and what is actually regulated in idle conditions.

from there, the vcore will drop more when under full load...it would be nice if we could maintain almost the exact vcore set in the bios for idle conditions....it would mean you could get a more precision vcore to maintain the overclock without over juicing the cpu to much.

I just ordered this board guys, will be posting on my OCs...specifically got this mobo to be able to run my Crucial Ballastix PC2 8500 as close to DDR2 1200 speeds. My old board didnt seem to like running this RAM at high bandwidth

What are the limits for the voltages on the board? I want to get 478 fsb stable but it bsod's after a minute of orthos. I know the cpu can handle the clock speed i think its just voltage. I keep getting BSOD irq_less_than or whatever and it says Memory Management.
