Big news! The recent released beta BIOS's on Gigabyte's website have fixed the lax MCH strap and tightened the memory settings. "Memory Performance Enhance" setting now controls the MCH Strap and sets it aggressively at low FSBs.

F5L BIOS on Gigabyte's website has fixed the non-working "Memory Performance Enhance" feature. I've only just started testing, but these are some quick checks with 10 min stable Orthos runs using the 1:1 divider.

Standard seems to use default values in all cases. So far Turbo/Extreme settings have not once caused an error in Orthos. I've just hit the 30 min stable mark at 501FSB "Extreme".
Time to tighten the MCH strap manually and see how low it can go again...
I cannot currently test higher FSB's due to my 8500 Ballistix down for RMA.
