This is something that us benchers in the west are only beginning to grasp and its worth noting. Some people are under the impression that an endless amount of capacity is necessary, and make extremely large pots accordingly.

However if the capacity of the pot is too high for the CPU on hand, you'll have a needlessly long pulldown time and often a lot of swing.

Just as phase builders tune their systems for the load, LN2 containers can be tuned for a load as well. Which is certainly an intricate process of trial and error that can take a very very long time and many attempts to get right.

On that note, NewBeetle-san, forgive me for being slightly off topic, but do you know when the Japanese first began LN2 benching? 2001 or so or was it earlier?
