Title should be changed. This is not a retail chip it's an ES.

I think it is. Heatsink used in this tests has it's own review thread and temps look lot more realistic, but still too low for usual ambient...

And first two SS are taken while system is idling, but Orthos screen has only +1C while fully loading the CPU

Its not a world debut around 20 people have G0 6600's all doing around the same clock, most are under Intels NDA though and some are just respecting the NDA out of courtesy.

I have a banned friend with one touching 4.2GHZ on water for benches and 3.9GHZ day to day with very little voltage increase.

    Very nice CPU's

Review of this heatsink was just posted on overclockers.ru

As you see it looses to unmoded Infinity on open stand by quite a big margin. Don't know how coolaler came up with these temps

I have a G0 E6850 running 3.96GHZ air cooled with an OCZ vindicator 1.67V real and the CPU idles at 30 to 32C ambient air is 24, Load is around 58C.

Coolaler should have shown coretemp readings, Asus's apps always read a little off as on Striker AI was showing 28C which is 2 to 4C lower than the cores.

G0 runs so cool its unreal, you will see once retail hits.

It is because he uses a bolt through mounting kit instead of the stock push pin to mount the hsf.

So in your opinion, is Coretemp still reading correctly with the G0 chips? So far, the reported core temps have been rather unbelievable being even lower than ambient.

Well i also did some water tests and the overall temp of the water was a lot cooler with the G0 than the B2 X6800 i have at the same clocks and voltages.

I am sure these chips run real cool, how accurate coretemp is I am not sure.

Thx, same thoughts with finger on the heatsink confirmation, they definitely run a lot cooler.

Any thoughts from you how Intel manage to tweak this G0 stepping to make such a profound impact on the temps? Tech Report's G0 preview seems to suggest no drop in its power consumption.

Well, those Asus readings are out of whack.
    Those temp's cannot be right.
Stupid Asus thing, for my P5N32-e SLi, reads like 28C Loaded, when im actually 42C Loaded. Lol.

Thinking, Asus PCProbe uses TJunction 85, not 100C .

Who ever said they were actually his numbers or that he even ran the tests? I have tried the cooler and believe me, it does not work that well.

i think intel screwed the temp sensors on G0 CPUs as MANY of them idle below ambient temp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first two screens have massive overclocks and voltage while the prime screen is at stock with low voltage........it's possible but the temp sensors are still screwed unless his ambient was 5-10C
