I have set it to Standard, Turbo, and Extreme settings but Mbench and Memset results/settings are identical between all three of them. It does not matter if I leave the RAM settings on AUTO or set manually, Performance Enhance changes nothing. It was only even added to the BIOS on the F3 release, so hopefullly that is why Gigabyte has 9+ beta version of F5 as they are probably trying to fix it.
It does change the timings, that's for sure. At least it tries to tighten them if possible.

For example, if I set DRAM to AUTO and 5:6 ratio, memset performance level goes from 10 to 7 for Standard vs. Extreme. That's quite a bit.

    And that's with BIOS 5Fh.

It used to change mem subtimings as well with BIOS' older than F5h (you could see them in CPU-z), but not anymore.

after all my tryings I can say this p35c mobo is a total .

1 - there is a huge vdroop between load and idle. why the f. do ı have to vmod it to fix it?

2 - I did not understand from vdimm voltage. If I set it to +0.3 it seems in speedfan as 2.21 and if I increase it to +0.4 speedfan shows it as 2.41. ı don't want to think what it actually give to the rams when ı set it to +0.5 and more. I give much voltage to the rams because ı have hyperx9600 modules set to work at 1200mhz at 2.35v

3- My system was rock solid at 490*7 with my p5b deluxe without any voltage to the nb and now I gave +0.3 to the mch and fsb and it is still not stable.

f4b bios was very problematic for me. now I use the f3a bios which seems better....

No problems with Big Typhoon here, I use a piece of cardboard and some paper folded up to cushion the Gigabyte copper backplate before mounting the rest of the Big Typhoon setup and Yes, you must use longer screws to make the clearance acceptable for the nuts.

Anyone have a "working" P35 DS3R pencil vdroop mod? The VR-Zone.com mod doesn't work... it gives you less vcore!!

Has anyone experienced boot problems with DS4? Sometimes when I want to restart computer, screen just freezes and I have to push reset button. This is with shipping bios F4.

The pencil P35 DS3R vdroop mod DOES NOT work. I did it last night and my volts tanked!!!! Normal 1.35 became 1.22 and load was 1.04v. I lost stability at stock settings... remove the mod and its running 3.6 @ 1.525, 1.44 actual now.

Sucks cause I wouldn't have ordered this board if I had known the vdroop mod didnt work.

EDIT - in fact just to test it again today. I made 1 swipe with #2 pencil. Booted up, voltage dropped from 1.49v to 1.44v idle at the 1.525v setting. Under load 1.44 dropped to 1.37 and the machine froze. SO, the pencil mod VR-Zone is touting actually LOWERS your voltage!!!!!!!!

I already did... I just dont want others to do it and screw up something...or just have stability issues and unknowingly think it's the board. I havent gotten a reply yet.

Definately not Although I bet i payed less for my DQ6 than you did for yours. I only paid $166CAD

My board is not without problems. I couldn't boot for hours yesterday. It refused to post with anything more than 2GB of ram, it would just continually reboot (i am talking 10 minutes straight). I tried shutting off PSU, clearing CMOS. Nothing helped. Then bam for some reason it just started working again.

Although it might have been me accidently spilling a good 1/2 cup of water all over the motherboard

It was a price mistake I do believe. It was before the official launch of P35 too. I only saw it at the price for a couple of days. I was going to buy another one but the price went up

I think Gigabyte has decided to remove the silentpipe from their boards

    See:

    P35-DS3P (OMG!)
    P35-DS4
    P35T-DS4 (not updated I think)
    P35-DQ6
    P35T-DQ6

    P35-DQ6:

    P35-DS3P
