Gigabyte does not have the setting to set the Command Rate in their BIOS's, they never have or haven't done so for a long time on their Intel boards... ASUS does though.

Then ya really should test your RAM using memtest. I had something similar happen, I could be ~6 hours Orthos stable but specific memory addresses in the RAM was giving errors, only memtest found them.

Is it common for Gigabyte P35 boards to emit a very quick Hard Disk Active LED once a sec? Even when nothing is running, I get a very quick faint flash on the LED every second. The LED does not reach full brightness because it is so fast, but i can still see it easily in the dark.

I don't think so. The DS3P is identical to the DS4, so it shouldn't droop too much.

Does anyone have any issues when trying to use 4 1GB memory modules ?

I am having issues where the motherboard will just not post at all, I have tried using differenct bios, different volts and timings but nothing works.
But when I only use 2 of the modules I have no issues at all.

I have also tested the memory modules (2 at a time) with memtest with no problems.

    I have OCZ Reaper 8500's

    Cheers

My Q6600 drops from 1.5v in BIOS to 1.42v in Windows under load on my P35-DS3P.

That's pretty much the same as my P965 DS3 did. Tho vdroop seems to be less with the dual-core chips.

I have 4 x 1GB OCZ PC2-6400 modules running fine on my GA-P35-DQ6 after made one adjustment in the BIOS. If you have the "System Performance" option set to "TURBO" try setting it to "STANDARD".

For those whose want to apply better thermal paste to the NB chipset on P35-DS3P, the cover (with wording "Slient-Pipe") is attached by double side tape; you can take it off and access to the covered screw.

Wow GA-P35C-DS3R is wack. It is giving 0.25 more volts to the dimms than it is supposed to. When you set it to +0.5 You are supposed to get 2.3 volts but on this board you get 2.550-ish!!! Can easilly fry your ram! I think it already did do small damage to my ram at 2.4x volts because I didn't have active cooling and I thought I was giving it 2.2 as supposed to with a +0.4 :/ What a mess I am really dissapointed with this board. And where are the bios updates damn it. The f4B bios sucks. Also the cpu voltage is wack. It is totally unacceptable how it undervolts the cpu. 1.48-ish is the max u can get at like 1.6v in bios.

BTW can someone upload the F3B bios for this board please?

I was thinking about doing that because the NB heatsink is not straight. Mine is bent one way, and my friend's heatsink is bent another. The NB heatsink is not straight, just like in a lot of pics.

Did you have trouble prying off the cover? Must the doubled sided tape be replaced before re-attaching the cover?
