    Rob + Gary = 2x HIS 2900XT 512MB @ Crossfire Results

    Test setup:

    Intel Xeon 3060 @ 400x9 1.5v
MSI 975X Platinum Power Up Edition
    2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 DDR2-800MHz @ 4-4-4-10 2.2v
    HIS Radeon HD2900XT 512MB Retail (x2)
    Seagate 320GB SATA-II 7200.10
    ENERMAX GALAXY GXX 1000Watts

Originally wanted to use D975XBX2 mainboard, but PCI-Express slots soooooooo close together, could not fit 2 cards in crossfire??

Ran to store before closing to get MSI 975X Rev. 2 mainboard.

Windows could not install with both cards in, took one cards out to install windows, and then re-install second card.

Board/Cpu overclock really easy and stable

    Sorry no pictures yet.

    Results @ 3DMARK05 with stock coolers and no overclocking video cards;

    Single card: 20,500points
    Crossfire On: 23,000points

Adding second card only increase score by 2,500 points? Does not seem right, perhaps premature driver 8.37?

Also- have anyone tried 2900XT card benchies on Athlon64 939 systems?

Those are good results. 05 is also heavily CPU dependant.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

Just for the heck of it, also ran 3DMARK2001SE, scored 66,000 points.

Have not tried 03, or 06 yet, will do my best to keep updatings... Busy with work and family these days.

lol. I've posted this link a few times already since the cards came out. It's on the back of the SapphireTech version of 3DMark06 that comes in the box. Once it's there, it's good for all 3DMarks.

He he... Not see it.. cadaveca

ROB you are really limited by CPU OC..3D05 need a lot of CPU /system support for run well... specially with SLI or Cfire.. many peoples don't see increase of their score using 2 cards, only cause the CPU is not enough OC..
    E6700@4.1ghz single 2900XT OC 3D05.. 24'231 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=3097685

OC your Xeon to more of 4ghz and you will see your cfire score increase a lot.. it was the case with previous version of GPU's and it will be again more the case with next generations cards on 3D05..
