As many of us know, when a result is too spectacular there is the increased risk of having it declared invalid. This has always been a sore point about the quorum system for those of us who like to run heavily-overclocked machines.

Wow, thats a great bench. That is borderline optimized good. Pity they couldnt have done this sooner - when it actually mattered and was relevant.

Oh well, water under the bridge...

Ok guys here is my problem:
clover3 @ 3.15 benched under 5.10.7 3108/6921. So scale linear:
clover3 @ 3.60 would be about 3552/7909

Now compare that with 3453/10403

It looks like boinc is still inconsistant with the integer benches. So maybe clover3 needs a couple of rebenches in order to get the "new" bench.
Dual Clovertown @ 3.2 GHz (stock Vcore), 4x1GB 667 FB-DIMMS, SM X7DAE, Silencer 610 PSU, Windows server 2K3 EE.

My C2D is benching at
3309 Whet/7529 Dhry

How does this compare with other E6700's? I'm running at 2261 MHz and 336.1 Mhz Bus with a Rated FSB of 1344.

Just curious but how many running processes to you have in Vista64? How many benches did it take to get that?

I have disbled only a few of the services in vista, honestly not many of them.

I had win explorer, msn, IE7 and newsleecher open when I ran those benches, and I only ran them once, 12 hours or so apart.

I got my first invalid today, have no idea what this means.

CTR-ALT-DEL -> File -> New Task -> run cmd -> then type explorer.exe <Enter> and you are back in business.

Yes, and to be blunt, I don't consider closing explorer an issue. A bit more left for the machine to use..One less process and maybe 10-14MB ram freed.
IF that was the only issue, I'd be a happy camper..

Its not much of an issue to run and crunch without explorer but it still tells me there is an issue somewhere.. Which bothers me.

Yes Dave, that's what 5.10.8 does most of the time, though it also causes Boinc to shut down once in a while. Overall I would say it's a improvement over 5.4.11 which I was using.

I haven't had any problems with 5.10.7 installed as single user on my notebook. My main rig is still running 5.8.15 just because I can't upgrade it. The installer flips a tit saying it can't find a file. I check that path and the file is in fact there. Not a big deal though, I need to repartition it soon.

jspace, just copy ALL thie files out of your BOINC folder on an already upgraded machine to the one you can't upgrade with the BOINC service stopped. Then, restart the BOINC service. You are upgraded.

Yes, I know it is a few extra steps to upgrade, but since I plan on wiping the drive and reinstalling windows, I don't see the point. Especially since I'm not really running BOINC projects on there ATM. I had to start running WCG on my laptop because sch.... err... the place where I have most of my crunchers is moving things and they are shutdown.
I have to do things like you said alot, my C:\ drive is only 4Gb It was a installing the service pack for it a few months ago. I should be getting my water loop (FINALLY!) soon, that is when I plan to clean/organize/tidy up all my files, cables, and dust. When that happens I will install whatever the latest 64-bit client is and re-commit to WCG.

BOINC 5.10.12 beta is available.

Again it's a beta, so use at your own risk.

Thanks Sierra, installed the 64bit version, does not seem to have fixed the odd benchmarks I got though.

Not sure, but I seem to be helping the quorum quite a bit as I am claiming alot more points that I am getting, only getting about 91-93% of what I claim. Oh well, all are coming across as valid, so that is all I can ask.

Could you please do me a favor and post a screen shot of your daily wcg points along with your clocks and runtime.. I am really curious if your doing better than any other E6600 at the same speed and runtime. Thanks!
