    really nice results, congrats

    also one question:
    i currently have X2 3800+(65w) and Asus M2R32-MVP motherboard.
my mobo does max 280mhz htt, it sure is crap but its because of
asus crappy bios support. cpu-s multiplier is 10 and it is totally stable
10x280=2800mhz with inbox and 1.45v from bios.
but that 2800mhz isnt enough and im looking for new cpu.
so which ome should i buy? 5200+(65w), 5600+ or 6000+
6000+ should be the best but is it worth that extra money?
i have watercooling and i want to get cpu capable of ~3.3GHz 24/7.
is it too much for 5200+? 13 as a multiplier should be enough but if it
doesnt clock then i dont want to buy it.
So, question is, which CPU dou you guys reccomend and why?
I have decent watercooling and priority is OC

5200+ should be enough......just be sure to get the 'CZ' model for the F3 stepping. That's probably obvious but it needs to be said as the 5200+ is available in both F2 and F3 flavors.

I agree....that is probably a better choice. I just meant that any of the F3 cpus you mentioned are likely to hit 3.3Ghz.

    nothing further i'm afraid
i can reach the same 4.1ghz at anything from 1.47 to 1.6 volts.
the temerature range to hit it is rather narrow though.
it has to be below 0'C but above like -10.
so in my ipinion this cpu could go a lot further with a higher mulitplier or better cooling with a higher multiplier.
personally i think the only current solution to AMD's coldbug is to unlock the multipliers on the medium to high end cpu's to at least make them partially attractive to sub-0 coolers.

I think your efforts surely deserve a thread in the OC subforum?

Fastest X2 is a significant record still

btw, sure you don't want to coax it to break the AMD WR? ( yes I know an extra 100mhz feels like trying to get an extra ghz when on the limit )

mAJORD - i did try trust me...i guess its possible changing motherboard could help...but i think that is unlikely....the only solution i see is an unlocked multiplier...then this cpu would really fly

    Nice!!
    I'm playing around with a 5600+ of the same code(or nearly): CCB8F 0712UPAW.
SuperPi and 3DMark stable at 3,206Mhz at stock Vcore of 1.347(via DMM). This is on rather cr@ppy air cooling I might add.
I saved a validation of a little over 3.5Ghz but couldn't submit it because I was using CPU-Z 1.39. I'll get a valid validation and post it in a bit.

3.5Ghz on bad air cooling / 1.56 Vcore (DMM). Not stable yet.....better cooling or a little more Vcore.

I have the same X2 6000, no matter how much volts its not stable above about 3.25GiG, ideally 3.2GiG is best bet, I dont know stepping until I remove it from PC and never took notice when fitting, but I can get a handpicked replacement CPU and pass this one on in a customers build, ideally I would be happy with 3.5GiG on my good aircooling and not at mad high volts to get there, I see some here on air have chips that do 3.4GiG or more on stock volts or just tad above.

Basically I would ask anyone here with 1 good overclocking X2 6000 to tell me in there own finding the best steppings so I can get one near same.

I ideally need to know by this Sat-Mon at latest, thanks.

Got it at a local retail store. I was just looking for any F3 cpu...no specific code or week or anything.
With better air or water cooling and more Vcore, I'd like to get a validation at 3.6 and 3DMark stable at 3.5Ghz.

    another very similar batch - CCB6F 0715RPMW here (I couldn't resist)

some brief testing on stock HSF: chilly (for us aussies) 17deg C ambient temp

Stable down to 1.2v @ stock

    orthos 1hour @ 3.25 undervolted to 1.34 measured

curruently orthosing 3.3 @ 1.4v, which seems to not be the standard vid on this chip, as the voltage is now measuring out at 1.41 vs 1.38 when I had it at stock vcore briefly. have to see what coretemp says methinks.

time to put a better cooler on, just want to see what this cooler can manage

So it seems similar to others in this stepping, We might need another thread soon if any more ppl start grabbing new F3s

Tried to, but usually very late at night.

Ok so whats the best choice to take a chance and get a good CPU, the one I got is a DOG (really need to remove to see steppings)

Mobo is Crosshair so meant to be OC king of these mobos, BTW high end air cooling here not water.

I will skip your as it dont clock to well, kinda same as mines with mad high volts, I though DrJay was on a 5600, I am talking 6000's

Seems demonbane23 or Peter Burg or mAJORD, is this a 2nd CPU you have, ie not same DOG as before ?
