Hey guys - just got back from my holiday. Gratz to mawsoccer & Windforce who have thrashed me into 5th place while i was gone! Dammit I wanted to hold 2nd place in the team just for a day, but it wasn't to be...

I've got some catching upto do, on the folding mission & reading GAM's monster worklogs too I got 4 Fedora Core boxes fresh installed & back on here today, all nicely arranged, my storage machine connects thru XDMCP to them & I just hit ctrl-Alt & an F key to check each box is folding ok I don't suppose the points will be enough to claw back 3rd, but hey it's all managed nice, at least for now.

Nice temps sc00p, C2D's here have a tough old life at 60c

Yo Jim, welcome back...Been extremely busy myself for the last few months, and it will go on probably until august...
I have a 6600 sitting here with TEC watercooling waiting to be installed ( on a nice ufo ), and a 6420 for wifey, but since i have no time, i do 1 task every night for the last 2 weeks...Tried bleeding the wc tonight, but since i had no hose clamps, i noticed after the split of a second it's a no go...
I hope i'll set them up before this week-end, and start making mawsoccer sweat a bit ( otherwise, i'll have to move some rigs from rosetta/d2ol/wcg )

There is a trade off between calm, cool, sedate atmosphere, and more active ones that can get out of control in a bad way. It is indeed quiet here, and pretty slow, but I think that for the most part, people who need help seem to get it.

My friend pulled the switch and the cables from my crunchers the other day last week for a lan party and hasn't put them back yet I need to get over there and fix that. I finally did get a PSU for my next addition, but was having strange problems with the system. Just popped a memtest CD in and almost instantly the screen filled with red Older crucial ballistix ram, must be from the bad batch Lifetime warranty I believe though, but yet another frustration.

This battle should be a little more interesting once I get those others networked again though. Gotta get those points coming in, I'm about to be toasted by you sc00p!

CRAP. Our internet at home has been having strange issues lately (AV won't update, sometimes webpages won't load... strange stuff). Now my FAH clients are getting affected, and my GPU client hasn't been able to upload the last couple WUs Gonna go tinker with the settings again..... The joys of having satellite

But you having a own satellite *@Ms Hilton's voice*: That's hot
Maybe it's suffering of a excess amounts of sunspots... LOL

ok... I'm not really helping you... just jabbering... what else I can do to assist besides running that one (slow) core on your account?

Nah, don't worry about it. Put the XP2700+ on your account! I have some A64's probably ready to upload right now, just need to plug them back in. Oh, and I found only 1 stick of this ballistix is bad, which puts it down to 256MB from 512MB but FAH runs fine on that, so it will be crunching soon anyway

The satellite isn't "mine" - gotta share it with a whole ton of other direcway customers The uploads are slow as heck though, downloads are fine. The reason for the GPU client not uploading is apparently not the satellite, I just checked the stanford server stats and found that several are down right now. As long as they get the servers back up before this one WU expires....

I think MM did promise a core awhile back, I forgot about that, and I think he might have as well. It is OK though, I'm not worried about it.

Yeah weird stats problems have occured recently too, which hasn't helped - check out my graph at EOC http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...hp?s=&u=177615 Something to do with Stanford testing the delivery of stats on the new v6 folding client apparently.

Oh come on now jimwah, negative pointage? That must be some seriously unstable overclock you have

I wasn't aware that they were in the testing phase of v6. But I think you are right.

even with the testing phase, we are still in a downwards spiral as a team i think, maybe we need to start another campaign for new members on the forums here
