Well some bartons overclocked well, not sure about the highend. Sorry though, yeah I see that is stock (running my barton 2500+ cruncher at 3200+, magic stepping).

My guess then is it is just one of those random WUs with an error, you'll still get partial credit.

Yeah I'm getting on it as soon as I can - got my opty back on yesterday, only at stock 'cos I could only find a 350w enlight PSU, wasnt sure if it could hack 1.5vCore Today I'll attempt to get a basic fedora64 install done on either the e4300 or e6400 All these problems basically stem from that stick of Xtreem which died, and having to shuffle & re-overclock all my DDR2 rigs.

Anyone else been having trouble getting work? My GPU was idle all morning and didn't get work until the middle of the afternoon. Fold1 still hasn't gotten work. Looks like our stats are reflecting some of these issues as well

Yep, I've been noticing some issues over the weekend. I saw a post on the F@H forum indicating server upgrades or such. I have WUs now though but a couple of WUs that were completed sometime during the last 24hrs have not been realised by the Stats page yet.

Fold3 uploaded its work and downloaded a new WU with no problem. So what is fold1's issue? I had bigWUs turned off on it and apparently they didn't have any small WUs left. Or the server dealing with the small WUs is down, or something. Turned bigWUs on and fold1 is now crunching again. Wish I had realized this yesterday so it wouldn't have been idle for over 24 hours

Again I'm just taking a wild guess w/o looking anything from official forums but I believe server reconfigurations are related to the upcoming client 6 -family. IDK really. Who has time will look stanford forums for accurate information...

    You guys won't believe this...
I think I have finally solved my problem. After months of hangups I went on a frenzy on monday. First I put my system back to 100% stock, which didn't fix anything. So I thought OK maybe my CPU is damaged, since I've replaced mobo, gfx card, PSU, memory, and case. Swapped it out for the one in fold7. Still froze up. Removed all USB devices, the soundcard... still froze up. Removed all optical drives, still froze up.

My frustration is showing by now I'm sure

What is left? Only 1 thing hasn't been replaced. Hard drive. So I imaged my main drive to my storage drive and removed my main drive from the system. Result? So far I have not been able to get it to freeze up yet. Still too soon to be certain, but I think there is something wrong with the drive that causes the lockups. I think there is a PCB issue that causes the drive to randomly become unreadable, so the system hangs because the drive is no longer accessible. That would make sense since the HD light would almost always come solid on a few seconds before the system froze up. Could it cause the system unable to reboot though? I guess if a circuit on the PCB is acting up it could be hanging up the SATA controller.

All theory at this point, not certain, but it sure looks like I may have it figured out finally. After all, there is NOTHING else left to swap out

*EDIT* nevermind, just hung up on me again!
I think it is about time I just sell off this whole stupid thing and buy all new

Time to harass some ppl again

SC00P!!! JIMWAH!! Get on the ball, you guys are slackin'
I just (finally) got all my rigs back to F@H, so watch out embeejay, I've got my sights set on you

BTW, the problem I was having has been fixed for quite a while now. I found my main problem was the HD (so I RMA'ed it and now everything is peachy ) and the freezup problem in games was apparently the two new services that punkbuster runs in the background (which bugs me to no end, why does everything have to run in the background and use system resources all the time!?! ) and ATItool don't get along and it freezes the system. Now when I play games online I just have to remember to shut ATItool off first I found this link which is what helped me find that problem.
    http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=30471

No fix for it yet AFAIK, so a heads-up to anyone else out there who seems to be having trouble like this.

Of course, if everyone deserts because they feel it gets deserted then this team won't get any bigger now will it?

I honestly don't have too much of a problem just folding quietly away. Just when ppl start slacking some I gotta give them a

One of the my main concerns is that when some of the new members need an advice... I certainly do not know all the answers to the problems... and my free time, very sorry to say this but, it's very limited nowadays too (I'm sure it's problem for quite a few of the folders). That's the dilemma... I like to think I'm social being but not have time for it... at least not at forums like somewhat before

For the record... I really appreciated that you took the liberty to

Hey guys, well I'm still folding 'quietly in the background'... getting heaps of crap WU's one after the other and still dealing with odd 'cable left unplugged by wife' issues.

Sorry I never got around to doing any crunching for XSTM, but I've been flat out with my IOU mod project and now I'm in the midst of starting a new business - Online Mod Products store.

Although I admit that I'm losing interest in folding, and often compelled to pause/stop the clients on Main as my machine starts to suffer with system resource issues when I've got 20 browser sessions open (research), Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop open, etc etc... I'm still folding. However, with all the other things on my mind and my plate at the moment, I rarely open the stats page which I used to check everyday, and only check FaHMon every few days to see that all clients are running.

I think my folding regimen will reduce somewhat in the future but I'd like to keep folding most of the time... I just may not be very active for a while.

    Cheers

What client is getting the crap WU's? I've been having no trouble with bad WU's for the standard CPU and the GPU clients. SMP well I'm not using so I can't help there.

GAM, just for the record, I need you here. You've challenged my position on more than one occasion, we've kinda whipped each other to keep each other going, so... c'mon, I need a challenge! I understand though if you get busy (and congrats on starting your own business ) but keep at it. If you run out of system memory when doing all that stuff, well... ram prices are cheap right now, so you could, you know, add another gig.....

BTW, don't worry about the XSTM thing, it all flew to crap over there halfway through the month. Only reason why I didn't come right back over here when it all got sticky over there was I had pledged CPU power for the month so I held through with it. But I'm glad to be back over here 100% again though.

Money money money, is what I haven't got...

All F@H 'Service' clients here. Still haven't got around to SMP...

All clients getting ty wu's. 'Main' which can get 600ppd is running at around 250ppd lately. Ugh!

Nevermind, they're still running full steam

I know what you mean about money. I don't have all that much either. Save for months at a time to get anything that costs over $20. Felt like I saved for years for my watercooling (worth the wait though!).

I noticed the current WU handout isn't all that great either. And what sucks is they are 200-some points, take a little over 24 hours usually, yet are 6 to 8 MB worth of upload, which is about 30 minutes of upload time for me. Bleh, oh well, the science is what matters I guess

    Now you did it Sparky...
...you got me started again (SMPs)

Had some glitches with hw last weeks and I just burned few wus when I tried to install f@h

Now watercooling working excellent IMO. Folding project_2609 100% with my C2D6420@3280MHz... CoreTemp says temps ~41c [(/ambient~25c I think) vcore 1.38volts)]

EDIT: Almost forgot... GL! GAM on your OMP !
