It's got a red pin and a black pin and a dial that I can set voltages and stuff.
Now what? Presumably I set the dial to something and touch the pins somewhere. I'm a little freaked out by interacting with electricity so detailed steps would be great
Before you start poking around inside your motherboard I would invest in a set of probes to prevent accidental short circuiting.
You can power down your motherboard make your connections then fire up the motherboard with less of a chance of damaging sensitive electronics
