I choose to use the asus updater that came on the provided disk and I choose the update from bios file on the pc option. Unfortunatly the program gave me an error stating that the epprom didn't complete flashing or something during the flashing process I was trying to install a firmware update to one of my optical drives and it gave me the blue screen of death. Now my computer will only power up for about 8 sec with all the indicator lights flashing before it shuts off again. I have tried clearing the cmos but that has had no effect that I could determine is there anything I can do?
I thought I killed mine last weekend...tore it down and was gonna return it. Decided to pull the battery and clear cmos and let it set for about 4 hours. Built it back up and voila! She's now back to life....worth a shot. Unplug, pull the battery and move the jumper. Let her set for as long as you can stand it. If that don't work then RMA...
