    About that ich9r raid issue.. I found out that it is the intel matrix driver issue. it is a fix\workaround awailable @ http://www.station-drivers.com/telec...el/msm7.5.html

    mid page... Possible Issues with Intel® RAID and Window Vista....

    read and do the reg modification. worked for me. i have not installed the intel matrix windows app. just the chipset driver.
    Gigabyte X58 UD5@Extreeme bios, I7 920@various ,max 4300 Water cooled, OCZ 6gb 1600LVk,Powercolor 4870x2 with asus top bios,Corsair TX850, 2xwd250ks raid 0.
