That's awesome for air cooling.
Mine has 3-4 degrees difference between cores... but I'm water cooling. There has been a lot of discussion on the water cooling forums about how to even out temps... it seems by tweaking the mounting tension on each of the four mounting posts, you can even out the cores. You need to be able to monitor the temps under load while turning each screw slightly to see what effect it has on the temps. This assumes your heat sink uses screws and that they can be adjusted while the system is running.
can i just ask, which temp program do you believe .? asus probe says 33c and temp 0.95 reads about 60 ish per core ... ( on load at stock settings. ) Can't believe Asus probe, but would of thought there software should be good for there own boards ..!

is it? I have so few reference points to compare to. But if you say so that makes me happier.Within 2% percent of what I used to do on dual core is awesome - thanks Ultra-120 Extreme!
I can't do that - the screws on the Ultra-120 have springs on them that do the work, so all are fully screwed in. I have put some spacers in there and remounted several times with consistent results, so i am leaning toward thinking I have one of those imperfect IHS that could use a lap job.. oh well, it clocks well, so thats all that matters.Mine has 3-4 degrees difference between cores... but I'm water cooling. Right, my Q6600 just arrived. Its an L645F197 - any one have any ideas on how this thing behaves? Hopefully its a good one!

Vcore at 1.55 in Bios, working on lowering it,currently priming at 1.5375.Also will be upgrading WC'ing within the next few days so will hopefully get those temps down, too damn hot for my liking chaps!
Well, it just got 100MHz better (3550)![]()
I think I am at the limit now though, 3564 and over explode, and my damn uneven IHS means my temps on Core 0&1 are 6C worse than the Q6600, meaning I am running out of room on heat, even though I could go a couple more notches on voltage.
Oh well, I am happy.![]()
