previous weight was for non-watered block, with water in in, full weight is 1.55 kg

I tested vertical position, it shouldn't be much of a problem, there were no noticable tension on socket or any kind af bennding

although when transporting, it would be wise to arrange some support.

temps are great, have in parallel mode right now
these are idle temps, water temp is showing 27.0°C, I'll try to post some load temps, but reall load temps are hard to show, cause window apps don't trigger 3D Mode, and Ati Tool and RivaTuner doesn't work

p.s. mosfet temps are a bit high right now, I am using 1.5mm thick thermal pads, final version is going to use 0.5mm

Wow, that looks great. I'd love to see the results now.

Btw, I assume that by using this block BOTH the top AND the bottom PCI slots would be blocked from use?

well the block looks just beautiful, like pretty much all EK blocks do..

zbogorgon would you happen to know, does acetal - delrin come in other colors other that black.. a bright red derlin top would look pretty nice on a ATI block imo ???

    Really? That's...interesting.

Anyway, 1.55kg (~3.4 lbs.)? This just keeps getting more and more hilarious

delrin is only dark brown, but there will be fluo red acrylic top

@ranker, i'll hook you up with more detailed pics, just as I promised, the way I see it, if I convince Eddy to sink all screw in delrin, uper slot could be usable for thin devices, like controler or sth

I don't have a problem with the regular one... If it's any consolation, I find the idea of a full-cover 8600 block more objectionable

hmm would you be able to run tests on the standard waterblock to prove the need for the extreme block? Then Petra might agree with it more .

you mean non-fullcover? you'll prob get better GPU temps with that, but overclocking it what counts, especially mem clocks and without Ati Tool and some voltage adjustments it's kinda pointles to do any kind of comparison.

No, he's referring to regular EK full-cover vs. this double-sided thing... and what's the deal with the EK CPU block that you have in that photo?

yea but gpu pots are with the mobo horizontal and the videocard upright, weight doesnt matter all that much. for someone running in a case, this could pose a threat.
