My air result from this weekend with Kentsfield and single 8800GTX:
    3DMark01: 68506p
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9201941
    711/1100

I had a temp at ~22-24 degress. I will try to get lower temp and run again.

Kinc: Impressive result!! Who will be first to 80k?

haha some crazy air clocks up in here kinc and others...
    AIR CHAOS for sure
If I set up my gear in a walk in freezer to bench, does that count as air still?

Really the thread needs to be a 3dmark "low clock challenge" thread for it to work good. You have classes for diff video cards/cpus like low clock challenge 32m thread....say 3600mhz and 4ghz class. And then put a clock limit at the cards where you know most samples of a given card will go on air such as say 700-1200 for ultra. No limit on shader clocks because that would fall under tweaking. With that system, most important factors seperating the scores will be fsb/mem speed, mem timings, tweaking and optimizations really.

If you think it counts, it counts.

I do not think this 'competition' with airbenching is meant to be that serious. For me it is more like having fun. You are absolutly right about that we all have different temps where we live so it is not a 'fair' game, but anyone can do it for fun though.

EDIT: Kinc: Are you really letting elmor getting away with that result?

Yah fun even just to watch for sure. Im sure Andy(zakelwe) would be all over this with his benching shed .
Me and gautam were talking about that 01' low clock thread for some time now. I think it would be great and get more people involved with 3d benching. Someone needs to hook that up.

    Well.....Here I am....

After my ABIT Quad GT's death (Digital Power blow up), I came with my second (retail) ABIT AW9D-MAX mobo to compete....

Just did some Vmods (and a new one too ) and here it is.....
This CPU is a friend's of mine (elefsinaras') which was given to me so to test it how it does under LN2....
On air I must admit that it does well....
VGA is my second one which doesn't do that well on air as my other one but I'll "fight" with frequency.....

This is the system..... I can't fight the 10*C other countries have coz WITH the air condition on, I have ~22*C into my room.... But I'll keep on.....

A DELTA fan 8 x 8cm was placed in front of VGA's fan so to force the air....
    TWO DELTA fans 12 x 12cm in push-pull config was placed onto CPU's Heatsink....CPU Idle Temp was ~50*C.....and VGA's ~ 46*C....
    CPU's VCore was ~1.78Volts....

This is the frequency it boots up into windows....

.....and this is the 2k1 bench......BEWARE coz I've "missed" the Car Low "good" score.....

    Here's the compare url....

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9205043

Now give me 10*C and a VGA like KINC's and add the numbers to see how it would do.....
