Very nice results with that chip man, definitely gives me hope. I'm good for over 8 hours of Orthos Small FFT's @ 3.1GHz 1.325v so far and am runnin' it again at 3.2GHz still at stock 1.325v.
Awesome thing is that this is still with the stock cooler.
Wow...I had no idea that these things were all pasted to their IHS's. I had no trouble removing a couple IHS's back in the s939 days and if this is as easy it'll definitely come in handy when I get an Ultra 120 Extreme for this chip...the temps are gonna plummet.
Oh well, for now I figure that 3.1GHz+ on 1.325v with the stock cooler and 18C room temps isn't bad, but the system's cryin' out for more cooling power.
I never removed an IHS before. I just got a stanley knife and cut al the sides. It just felt off :P Core had almost no contact with IHS.
