Did a bit testing, the board has a strap change at 416-417
Max fsb with lower strap is ~490

    Here are results:

Seems like P35 boards are capable of very high FSBs. Do you have a Allendale with low multi to test the board with? Would be interesting to see how far that combo could go.
    Thanks

Yes, I do have allendale but it has a wall @ ~550 on air. Need to DI cool that

saw this thread title and thought hmmm DI and budget don't really work together...

What I meant was you don't need the best and most expensive board to achieve good results. The board performs just as well on air/water

As for DI, it is the cheapest short term xtreme cooling
My 1st super simple brazed pot costed me $20 + 5kg DI for $1.7/kg

Nice results from such a *cheap* solution!
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

Nice results indeed. Any chance you will show what you can do on air or water?

cpu stability hasn't changed in comparison to p5b dlx and dfi 965 I had. It is 1.5V DMM stable @ 3.8Ghz. Max cpu fsb on water is ~545. Cooling cpu with DI breaks cpu wall by +40 in this case (I had 20-40 improvement with other cpus)

It is certainly not MB limit yet, it should do 600+

Yes, but I'd just call it slower strap

Have you guys seen the DS3R review on X-bit labs? The performance on high FSB doesn't look good at all.

    Nice cpu bro....

Did you get over the cpu wall because of the board or by cooling it with dry ice? My cpu has a wall at around 555fsb on air but I havent tested it at higher fsb while using dry ice..... Im hoping sub zero temps helps in increasing the fsb wall incase I move to ln2....

    Cooling cpu

There are 3 types of walls/limits

    1. Cpu fsb wall
    2. Chipset fsb wall, usually different values for 1066 and 1333 strap
    3. RAM limit which might be in combination with chipset limit. The least common for D9GMH/GKX and 1:1. They easily should do 600+ with sufficient volts

Cpu wall can be braken by xtreme cooling. Usually one can gain 20+ by going to SS/DI/LN2

Chipset wall can be braken by DI/LN2 cooling chipset but gains are smaller

...is it me or isn't here any info about cooling on chip?
Any custom fan over chip? How hot is that chip compared with 650i?

    BTW, nice results
