jeezz dinos22 thats one sweet chip... mine does only 4.2ghz with 1.57v. i probably would go even further but i would need a better ambient than 20c to do that.. damn you spring, summer sucks ass.. too warm for a true overclocker
dinos22 you need to get that cpu under a SS or cool it maybe some dry ice/ liquid nitrogen asab.

Dinos , your CPU responds exactly like my E6700 ... 3740 orthos with 1.37V and 3950 orthos with 1.54V . Watercooled.
    L631 can't remember the rest though ...
VID 1.1625V ... and the temps are sky high .

    Nope!

This is mine under cascade. (-90) 1.67V
It was my fisrt attempt with P5K, so there is more to come.

    4955MHz max. 4800MHz bench stable.

I had same chip as solarfall (L627B005) and I don't like those B chips anymore

    Sorry for offtopic:
    solarfall-

Yes. You remember right. It did 4.5GHz with dry ice and 1.51V.
Too bad, that I sold it before my cascade arrived.

This L628A will do 5GHz in 3D for sure with vmods on the P5K Dlx board.

its not doing too bad so far. i had 345 stable on stock volts on my p5b deluxe.
im at 350 with 1.4v on the dfi 680 so far. after i redid my as5 my temps are at 45-48 idle vs the high 50's they were when i first started.
id hit orthos and it would skyrocket to high 70's hitting 80. so i cleaned it off and re applied the as5 and it seems normal now.

heres a quick ss of what im runnin right now. not much tweaking yet

this may sound dumb but what role does the vid play in the oc process. is it a higher is better thing. im used to the amd aspect of stuff.

wanted to check if SPI runs on vista and had all sorts of trouble to run it..........there is a bit of an issue with the two programs i think

anyways i figured out how to run SuperPI on Vista

when you start the app and select the test you like take the prompt to the upper right corner of the desktop screen and start from there >>>>ROFL<<<< and it works LOL

    TIMES ARE SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

but it runs at 4GHz as well with those bolts

    E6700 @ 4Ghz 1.47V
    RAM: 500MHz 5-5-5-x 2.2v
    1M SuperPI: 13.057s

dinos22 hey what memory sticks are u using ..???
dude that 2.2v is so wimpy (i ran mine on 2.5v ) crank the voltage up and run your sticks on tighter timings, im sure that your super pi times will improve nicelly.
