ya...ok happen to see that here? http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=567

not really a review now is it? rather a quite extensive mod to get a tighter fit for the Infinity.

Which cooler is better(compared with a 25mm thick fan):

    TR ultra 120
    Tuniq tower

I can get the Ultra 120 a bit cheaper. But it's without a fan.
I want to use it on a OCed e6600.

I also want to use a 38mm thick(can't use it on tuniq tower) fan if i get the ultra 120. How can i attach this to the Ultra 120?

The regular Ultra 120 and Tuniq are almost identical in performance most of the time, you probably wouldn't notice much difference in temps. You could use zip ties or wire to hold a larger fan on the Ultra. You could also just get the new TR Ultra Extreme which is a few degrees better, not really an issue unless you are pushing really hard overclocking.

The ultra 120 extreme is 57 euro here in the netherlands. The tuniq is 45 euro.
I can get a unused ultra 120 (from someone else) for 30 dollars shipped. That's like the half of the Tuniq price.
Maybe i can wait for the ultima 90(with a 120mm fan), but when is this heatsink coming? I already mailed Thermalright but they don't anwser.. Do you know?

So if the performace are (almost) identical between the ultra 120 and tuniq tower, I can better take the Ultra 120 right?(cheaper)

EDIT: I see in this review on Madshrimps that the Tuniq Tower is better when a cpu is overclocked(at stock speed they are identical):

    http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...77&articID=496

But when i look at the anandtech review of the Ultra 120 extreme (where you also see the tuniq tower, ultra 120 and other coolers):

    http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling...spx?i=2981&p=3

The ultra 120 and the tuniq tower has identical performance..
The madshrips one is with a AMD 3200+ oced, the anandtech is with a X6800 stock/oced.
Which one is more reliable? I want to cool my e6600 with it.

Of course that you should consider Intel platform for "more reliable" since it is a core duo/quad one.

even though the Tr ultra 120 extreme has been rated the best, im unsure of this 'loose' business. For LANS I assume I'll have to take it off right? Does it come off easily for transport?

Is it really 6 degrees better than the tuniq on overclocked stuff as anandtech states?

Worth £20 over the tuniq? ($40)

Still worried about this lose stuff and its cooling on the core however. Am I being silly?

Need little help here and some guidance , As I understand is the Thermalright Ultra - 120 Extreme the best air cooler availble? If yes What is the best configuration and fans for maximum overclock for benchmarks? Push Pull 2 fan configuration or just a single fan? Wich fan gives the lower temperatures with that heatsink? I will be using an open bed to benchmark (no case) all air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Good Day.

Well, if you aren't worried about noise and just want maximum air cooling than try a couple of these in push-pull:
    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...3118d0e02b0fb6
They are going to be very loud though. You could also experiment with some sort of shroud for the sides of the heatsink to keep air from leaking out the sides and reduce turbulance a bit.

If you wanted something really extreme you could rig up some sort of tube or large shroud enclosing the heatsink and use a pair of these on each end in push-pull:

I vote -1 on the Andy samurai master because it is a very inefficient CPU cooler.

I got the Arctic Freezer pro and with my E6600 running at 3ghz 24/7 it does'nt even break a sweat !! I believe others maybe a bit better at the high end but for the money the AF Pro is fantastic.

    Hi,
I am choosing new CPU heatsink and I dont know which one to buy.
Coolermaster GeminII or Thermalright SI-128. Case is TT Armor Jr. but in 1month I will have P182 and i dont know, if this case is big enough for GeminII.
HW to cool down is Gigybyte 965P-DS3 and E4400@3GHz, also I need some better NB cooler, would Noctua NC-U6 fit in with these coolers?
My current heatsink is Scythe Ninja, Im curious if GeminII or SI-128 would do better job with 120mm fan at 5-7V Ninja.
Thanks and sorry about my bad English
