    SWEET
Everything is running smoothly and configured. Thanks to the people who helped me on the way and special thanks to FCG!

I had no problem using Winflash1.84 on Vista ultimate. I followed the procedures as stated from HERE and the flash was succesful in Vista. However, upon restarting, the system would not POST, and there were continous LOUD BEEPS every 2 secs. I had to power down the system and restart it again and it posted fine. The BIOS date is 4/24/07 up-to-date.

When the system wouldn't post after the flash, it sure scared the HELL out of me...LOL! I upgraded the NB/SB heatsinks and bacially build everything from scrach....it would suck if the mobo is xxxxxx cos of winflash

So as a reference for future Vista DFI DARK owners, winflash is proven OK to work by my own case

    Any suggestions?

*Nevermind: I saw the picture in the last page and the guy put his HyperX rams in the 2&4 slots. Thanks
Takes fiddling but either could work. I'm using 1+3, although I failed small fft after 6 hours

    Thanks for letting us know.
I'm so in love with this board!!!
OMG I can't believe the "voltage droop" on this beast is almost NON-EXISTENT!!!
This is by far the best mobo I've bought up-to-date; the best cost performance ratio mobo. P5N-E SLI 650I no longer hold that title

The stock voltage for my current E6700 is 1.25v and I'm getting 1.248v in windows!!! talk about 0.002v droop...UNBELIEVABLE without even bother to make a pencil Vdroop mod. Under Orthos load, the droop only comes down to 1.238!!! The OC progress up to this point it @ 3340mhz, stock 1.25v , Idle 30 degrees
    AWSOME!!

Every mobo has Vdroop, it's normal and the way it is but this mobo has significantly less Vdroop compare to the past 3 C2D mobos I had with the same Vcore setting
This is actually my first DFI board and I'm quite satisfied so far...OC at 3420 right now at 1.325v and full load is at 1.28v

At stock Vcore, 1.25v, the max stable result I could reach is roughly ~3.3G
Here is the current StageII OC at the moment.
Stock NB/SB/VTT voltage, except Ram/CPU voltage.
NB temp 24 degrees and system temp 22 degrees.
Please check my sig for mod on the board and the rest of the air cooled setup.
    More results to come..

Yeah after 2 returns minus restocking fee for the 2 C2D I had, this one is by far the best OC chip. I havn't test the CPU MAX FSB WALL on the DARK but with the same chip on my last mobo, I could reach ~500FSB * 7 multi.

If you notice in my sig I'm using PC6400 Platinum Rev2 rams and at DDRII1000 is probably the max they will go. I'll kinda capped by the rams...so I either stick by *7 multi at ~500FSB = 3500mhz ish or go for the *8 multi route and gains higher clock speed but lower NBCC and bandwidth.

I'm waiting for some nice MicronD9 rams to go on sale and do 1:1 / 533mhz DDRII1066 with tight timings like 4-4-4-8 and *7 by 533 I'll be at ~3731mhz and this is roughly the max I want to go as my goal is to build the max stable 24/7 xtr system. The CPU prob can touch 3800mhz but temp will become an issue at that point.

What would you like me to try? I don't have great ram, but I'm considering correcting that. My best kit is a G. SKill 6400HZ's that do DDR2-1266, but that was on a 680i. I did try them on this board briefly.

IIRC i read that mem overclocking was hard compared to other 965 boards. 2/3 divider with mem around 600mhz would be nice. Very strong E6400 youve got, it deserves a higher multi
All previous DFI boards we have had here rather early but unfortunately stil not this one.
