Hopefully they get cheap fast...
Crunching for Comrades and the Common good of the People.
Is this the collectors editions, cause there are no DDR3 boards on market?
Well..if it was a board we would just nag over no memory was on the market. What came first, the chicken or the egg :P

Well hopefully DDR3 will take off faster than DDR2 and we'll have a few decent Penryn northbridges and a multitude of motherboards within 6 months.
Bleh 1GB sticks; they need to put out two at the low end and four for mainstream.
yup yup..coolaler have post some results MSI P35 and MSI P35 Platinum..

That board looks gay. We don't need any useless heatpipe snakes, that increase board cost twice. DFI FTW!
My mom could make better board layout.

Wasn't there a DDR3--->DDR2 converter shown at one of the tech shows recently?
So there was one, right? I don't think I'm hallucinating.
I seem to recall hearing that the original spec for DDR3 recommended by jedec had the same signaling as DDR2 until Intel requested otherwise...
AMD is kind of suing intel over it...
as is though, it's also possible for memory controllers with DDR3 support to host DDR2 modules(not simultaneously though)
and come on 1.5V to 1.8V it's not like it's going to fry the RAM if a switch happened... it's like Running DDR2 @2.15V or DDR1 @ 3.1V it's not good for it but it's not like it's instant death. A lot fo peopel here run in excess of those value 24/7 without issue.(also heat is less of an issue with DDR3 so ehh)
