    Exclamation How Hot?! What is Aux?

    On SpeedFan, here's what I am getting reported;

    What is the Aux sensor? And why's it so hot?! It's a P5BE-Plus Asus board with an E6320 c2d running at 2.8Ghz (400fsb).....is it the northbridge? This does appear to be hot on the heat sink, but not 127 degrees!

    Cheers guys, worried me a bit.

    I may go down maplin and buy one of those chipset fans that screws onto the top of the northbridge heatsink tomorrow just to be safe, its hot, but not 127degC!

    Asus Probe II says the Mobo is at 28c and the CPU at 231c!!!

    I strange how different software interprets things, the bios shows the CPU at about -24 and the mobo at 28c.

    I guess all is well?

    well if you have it on phase or something negative temps then asus probe,dfi's probe thing, and alot of the others will stop at 0 then count backwards since it doesnt do negative numbers so itll count back down from 255c i think it is (255-24 and you got it 231)

    tat and coretemp usually just stop at 4c and dont do anything till you get positive temps again
