Hmm, that actually doesn't seem that bad to me so far, maybe the 44's can do well too? With a better cooler and some volts, hopefully the results should be interestingOk.... my first overclock attempt has me at 3.2ghz. Idle was 37'c with the stock cooler at 1.35v. I've been running Orthos for the past 20 minutes and my temps are stuck at 58'c both cores.
I think it's time to ramp it up a little more.![]()
Hey,
Just got my 6600 in the mail from ZZF yesterday, upgrading from a 6300
It has a packing date of 3/26/07 and its a L644G425 . Ill let you guys know how this does, im waiting for a U-120 Extreme, didnt think my freezer7pro would be sufficient. Hopefully this weekend ill have it up and running.
Interesting...I got the same batch and I ordered from ZZF as well. Same packing date as well I believe (the chip is not in front of me.) I'll be awaiting your results, I'm not entirely sure when I'm getting a few of my parts (usps tracking sucks.)
i tested a new CPU recently
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (batch#L707A255)
Watercooled (Switech dual rad/MCP350/apogee)
3.6GHz ~20m small FFTs Orthos 1.45v Loaded

I've yet to even get started overclocking this thing. As soon as I get a better cooler (probably Enzotech Ultra-X 120 since the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme is too tall for my case) i'll ramp up and see how high this thing will go. I'd rather not go much higher since my stock cooler sucks.
