    FWIW:
on my mobo...I had 0.1 overvolting on my vdimm(set 2.0v and measured 2.01v)

gtj..thanks..I d/led that driver and decided to try tonight using it...but to hear that hot plugging is not working seems to defeat eSATA IMHO

I was able to run P95v251 last night ...blend for 25hr
nothing real impressive..e6600 390x9=3500 1:1 crucial 10th anniv DDR 780 at 2.0v w/4-4-4-12...vcore was 1.525v with powerslope/ and I think vfsb at 1.375 and vmch 1.6....(I will try to lower these some as well as vcore with more testing but I could not get this stable on my second RD600)

I had my rear fan connector set to off in the bios and using a MCX159cu..chipset was no warmer than 35C after 25hr of P95 blend(ambient was 24C)....

It seems there is some definite variation in mobo sensors on these boards Lome reports his sensor is off...sounds like it is similar to mine...but interestingly my vdimm is pretty close to bios setting...I recommend anyone interested get a DMM(sears has one for $12) and measure how your board works....

i've measured the vdimm and it overvolts by about 0.03-0.04 so be aware of that.

when i got my e6600 which is capable of 3600 @ 9x400, i tried to stabilize 400 4:5 4-4-4 and 5-5-5 500FSB with vfsb up to 1.45, vmch up to 1.75, vdimm up to 2.3 but could not get it stabilized.

this is why i'm asking what fsb you're running at.
I'm at 360 FSB with 1.3500 vCore and everything else stock. Does raising FSB or the voltage for FSB and MCH help with RAM overclocking? I though it was just vDIMM.

I can get to 400 FSB with around 1.4vCore but my temps are pretty high for some reason and I'm not comfortable with it.

mine wont do ddr1000 without putting the mch at 1.7 in bios
my ram is rated for that speed, vfsb is more for cpu clocking.

look back on my early posts on this issue, the sensor on my board is way off too.....Gtj boards have better sensors than mine

My bios reports an idle vcore of 1.535v when set to 1.525v with powerslope on....2 separate DMMs read 1.50 idle and load 1.50v(after 24hrs of P95)

my vdmm measured at 2.01v(I can recall no if this was idle or load voltage) for 2.0v setting in bios(the bios doesnt report this value at least not where i have seen...so this was odd that it delivers the voltage I set when vcore did not)

BTW I have installed the OS, if I install the marvel drivers now will I be able to use eSATA???
this is what i got so far 2674 and 505
vmem looks solid but the others are off
i did experiance a dead dim on this board but it think it was faulty ram to begin with since dims i got back from rma have a totaly different action to the activity lights than the one that died (tracerx ddr2 1000)

i did notice a voltage spike to 3.0 in vmem once on power up, i wrote it off since i figured the board couldnt posibly be doing that, maybe it is heh.

    Code:
    	set	real	IDU
    vcpu	1.5	1.479	1.459
    vmch	1.70	1.723	UNK
    vmem	2.20	2.20 UNK
    vfsb	1.425	UNK	UNK

i wasn't able to get my mem 1000 even with 1.7.

i was thinking about doing the vmch mod for this board to get to 2.0.

yeah its a little uncomfortable with the stock cooler
np i think with a waterblock on it
need to try the vmch mod so i can tighten the timings

I am running 1.7 on my board. It will crash if you dont put a fan on the Northbridge HS. I have a 120MM Yate blowing on my ram and Northbridge.

    Works fine

I'm in a bit of a predicament now. I posted in the air cooling section that this morning my temps in Core Temp and TAT dropped by 8-9 degrees for absolutely no reason. I thought the only explanation for this would be the thermal paste breaking in as today is the 4th day since I installed the Tuniq.

I thought great, 3.6GHz here I come! But now my CPU seems to be less overclockable than before. I used to be able to get into Windows no problem on 380FSB with 1.385 vcore and 400 FSB with 1.400 vcore.

Now for some reason I can't even get into Windows at 380FSB with 1.4500 vcore 1.35 vfsb and 1.575 vmch. I haven't changed anything so I don't know what happened.

The temps used to be 38-39 degrees idle and 60-61 on load. Now they are 30-31 idle and 52-53 on load.

    Nope, still not working.

I tried 1.5 vcore 1.6 vfsb 1.4 vmch and every thing in between. Every single time it reboots while loading Windows.

This doesn't make sense as it used to boot into Windows fine even at 400 FSB with 1.4 vcore. It's like it suddenly decided to take a crap on me or something.

Oh and my previously 8+ hours stable Orthos at 3.24 GHz now stops at 20 seconds or so

I ran 1.6v on MCH for 25 hr of P95 blend on MCX159cu , the fan was off...max NB was 35C!!!!!...The NB runs cool
    waht temps cause an issue

    P95 blend 25hrs
    390 1:1 266:533
    3500 on cpu and DDR780 4-4-4-12 2.0v
    mch 1.6
    vFSB1.375
    cpu 1.525v with powerslope on

reran P95 blend ..lowered vFSB to 1.3 and MCH 1.575...quick 8 hr run when i stopped at same ram and cpu settings(ie 390 fsb 1:1 with ram..266:533)

I cant lower vcore with 3dMark05 crashing

Nothing special but these are my results...I am happy so far

That is one thing I like about running an old XP-120, even though it is not the greatest for the CPU with today's coolers, it still blows air on the ram and NB.

Ran it before already. Passed 5 times at 4-3-3-4 266/533.

Anyways I decided to just skip 380 and try for 400 FSB again. Boots into Windows (I guess it doesn't like 380 FSB for whatever reason) but I can't get it stable. Tried 1.525 vcore 1.6 vfsb 1.4 vmch 2.20 vdimm. How high can I go with vfsb and vmch and vdimm and still be safe? My temps are real nice now so I know I can go higher on the vcore.

There's no sensor related to the NB. You're either reading the motherboard or memory. Check the guide for their locations.

    As a reference, I did 9x400 with vfsb 1.3 and vmch 1.625.

mem i try to keep below 2.2 as the board overvolts about 0.03 (measured with DMM).

Also be sure yo haven't maxed your chip out. The F batches aren't known to be excellent o/c-ers

Anyone seen memory errors on this board with DDR2-1000 that is clocked too low? Like in the DDR2500-800 range? G.Skill is telling me this RAM works but only if I increase the FSB to get it to DDR2-1000 but I think the chips are bad.
