Are they still GMH? At this price, I start to doubt that.

yes, but DRAM;s demand has drop significantly in the past couple months that all of em decide to drop price

i got my OCZ 8500 SLI 2GB for $189.99 same with the 8000HZ i think its only $289.99 now where it used to be $430 ....

I just bought that pack of RAM, I hope (please) that they arrive with Micron D9GMH because I need them in order for my system to let me overclock at higher frequencys that Im on right now.

Is there any posibility (even the smallest chance) that I can get something different than D9GMH?

    Thanks

I can't see how this ram can be so cheap now, especially since I bought 2gb of this exact same ram in early January for over 300 bucks. This price is making me want to pick up another 2gb, but that whole Corsair/Promos fiasco from a few months back has me a bit weary. Then again, GS Tech is absolutely sure that it's Micron, so I'll probably just go ahead and pull the trigger on it. Decisions, decisions! Of course, for another 10 bucks AR, I could get the Ballistix DDR2-1000. Oh I'm so confused! :\

Thunderstruck, i'm right on the edge of pulling the trigger on this deal. I'd only be able to use 2.75gb of the 4gb until I go to Vista, but with memory prices as volatile as they have been, I kind of want to jump in on this before they go back up. Besides, as much as I want to stick to XP Pro, I'm sure Crysis will make me go to Vista for its DX10 sexiness. :P If you order it, I will too!

EDIT: I just went ahead and ordered it. I couldn't take it any longer! :P

    From this thread/post:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...4&postcount=18

but it was purchased almost 2 months ago... it looks like D9GCT

if you check the rest of the thread, g.skill tech says all HZ's use some variant of Micron... so you'll be getting micron 100% sure with the 6400HZ's.

Yeah but I also asked GS Tech what if the memory he bought was manufactured long ago, GS Tech said it could be. Most people are getting D9GMH now

Price jumped up a little bit...to $180, plus about $5 shipping.

Still, not a bad price for 2 gigs of Micron.
