Okay, it doesn't do that though. I don't see my RAID setup when I get to choose the destination drive. At that point I chose the load-driver option.

You only need the audio drivers if you need to use the front panel audio jacks.

The multiplier changing is normal. There's a BIOS bug where disabling C1E doesn't actually disable it.
That's not an excuse though. Updating a driver shouldn't give me BSOD's.

I reckon the culprit may be the VGA card as well, for that I'm going to see if I can "borrow" my housemate's X300 for a couple of hours.
