edit: to those talking about cold boot and the likes, hmm.. if so, it'd be great. I read from asus that the double booting is to trigger the southbridge or something along those lines. And I've found on my p5b vanilla that it can do 500fsb fine at 1333strap, but most of the time, it won't boot up, unless after a failure, I hold the power button to turn it off, wait 5 seconds, and try again, simulating a false boot. Works everytime. But it'd be great if this could do it without even needing to double boot.

Also, this thing is on 1066 strap, which I don't need to say is absolutely impeccable. Honestly, I'd rather 400fsb on 1066 strap than 1333 strap at 500. You should see the latencies and cycles on ram access with mbench. I think it speaks for itself.

It would make this even greater if there's the ability to change vdimm / vcore in windows, like the ds3. Although I absolutely loathe that board, easytune is great in that regard. And also, I'm hoping for clockgen support. Now, I'll say that I don't do changes in windows normally, but in the experimentation phase, it's a whole hell of a lot easier to do testing from within windows rather than setting in bios, booting, testing. Even if it means I crash out of windows a lot.
And you do know you can pinmod a fsb266 chip to be 333, and it will use 1333 strap. Also, you can pinmod a 333 chip to be 266 and be 1066 strap.. For this board anyways.

I sent one, I will let you all know if I get a response...... :-P.

140$, that is sick sweet low price given the DFI name, and current board prices.

I'll probably get laughed at for this post, but so be it!

Is this board better than the Abit QUADGT or the Asus Commando? I just bought the QUADGT and paid a pretty penny for it.

I just got off the phone with William Yang (Mang?) at DFI San Jose and he told me the board will ship Fedex tomorrow.

I called at first to see if he got the fax and he said yes, muttered something and hung up. Thought it fishy and called customer service and they put me through to him again and he apologized for the previous disconnect and told me the paperwork is in process and will be shipping tomorrow. It all seems on the up-and-up to me. While waiting on hold for CS I was enlightened with all of DFI's accomplishments and also with some info about their marketing strategy and future products.

I guess I will have to wait and see aye?

hmm I was one of the first to test the pinmod, so I do know about it. But you do state a brilliant point. It may or may not be the cause, if it's about the board not knowing when the change strap.

But about the pinmodding to 1066 to use that strap, it doesn't hold true past 400fsb, which is the problem I'm having.
